So is Davis benefitting from the Derrick Rose Rule here? 5-years, $145MM (or $29MM per year) seems incredibly high, when Lebron is making about $20-22MM here.

Does Davis' contract factor in the future salary cap increases at all, or is this purely under the current structure?

Could Lebron sign something like this if he wanted, or can you only do this off your original rookie deal?

His new deal does not kick in until after this season.

Hence it's based on the future cap increases coming after next season.
