5 years 80 million for an offensive rebounding specialist. I'm crying lmfao.

Bran got Rich Paul that nice commission check.

Gilbert will have to delay on buying the second half of Detroit for 6 months with this payroll

Thompson is not worth that much I don't care how much the cap is going up. So does reggie evans get a 80 mil to just as good at rebounding

 This is by far the worst contract so far. Must be nice being LeBron's friend.

Bran got Rich Paul that nice commission check.TT likely never lives up to the moniker "$16M/year player" but his agility on defense is actually elite. He's by far Cleveland's most mobile big, so they had to let TT/Rich Paul/LBJ name their price. Fits in well personnel-wise, too, I guess. We have to look at this deal in context of % of next year's cap, which makes it seem not nearly as bad.

Fwiw I'd rather have TT at $16M for 5 years than have Pek for $36M for 3 years with the cap exploding.

TT is one of the better defensive bigs in the league too

i dont think any big is better at switching onto guards than tristan.

his offense is still raw, but its worlds better than evans' too.

Tristan is worth the max in Cleveland only, just like Draymond is worth the max but only in GSW

TT was the Cavaliers 2nd best player in the Finals. He deserves to get paid.

Its Lebron who is paying this guys, and amount of revenue he brings in to any team he is on.

They will have by start of the season over 100 million in salaries.

way to sink huge money into over the hill white players to be spot up shooters...kevin love's days of elite rebounding are over. he had stat pad heaven in Minnesota and his athleticism is dwindling. You guys got a good 3 point shooter with poor defense and poor rebounding, mediocre playmaking but when LeBron is dominating the ball the entire time that is pointless. Kevin Love signing is going to backfire for CLE big time.

Kevin Love is very smart. He wants the money and the chance to win an NBA title.

Lakers probably didn't give him a good offer. And Kobe being Kobe.

I feel like ISH didn't get the memo that the cap is jumping up big time pretty soon here? Every contract given from here on out should not be directly compared to previous years. Look at deals that guys like Millsap, Amir Johnson, DeMarre Carroll, etc are getting....insane money compared to before but that's the norm going forward. the new MLE is like 9 million.

Because their owner Dan Gilbert will be paying the largest or second largest luxury tax penalty in NBA history by the time the offseason is done.

They obviously have a core of players that work together and it got them to the Finals even injured. You want it to keep working? Pay them. And he is.

DO not underestimate the impact of Lebron, on your team revenue. No Lebron, and Gilbert wouldnt pay half whats he going to pay this season.
