Absolutely fantastic, and now that we have splitter backing us up our big man rotation looks sick.

20 million dollars...

sorry to the Hawks fan from earlier. (Can't remember your screen name.....)

That is a lot of money for a 17-8 guy....

smh, he would of made the Magic a playoff team...wouldn't mind the 2 hour trip to Orlando to catch some games if he had signed on. Oh well, this at least keeps Atlanta as one of the premier eastern conference teams, it'll be interesting to see how the Millsap/Horford/Splitter big man rotation will pan out. I know they have Bazemore on the team (good defender and can hit the 3) but they still need to do something about that 3 spot, no depth there with Carroll heading north.

Wow, so he left 21 mill on the table with Orlando so he could stay with Atlanta? Impressive

What's the point? Hawks will be fodder for the Cavs again. He should have gone West to hang with the big boys.

Why would he go west when there are like 7-8 teams there better than the Cavs?

I wasn't totally on board with the max money earlier but the fact that we got him for only 3 years instead of 4 seems like a huge win.

Our frontcourt rotation should be a lot better next season.

Unfortunately we don't really have much money left to try and replace Carroll, but if we'd lost both him and Millsap this would've been a really bad day for the Hawks.

he will probably get 10 million back in that 4th year that he gave up

wow he left a lot of money on the tableHe can opt out after the second year I think- probably banking he can get more being a FA when the cap is at $100M in 2017.

Seems like a bold move for a 30 year old smallish PF, but I'm glad he's going that way.
