Um, that's absolutely NOT what made the Knicks the Knicks, especially this last decade.

They traded for a bunch of hyper-expensive, over-the-hill dudes and never had any draft picks. Hence the user on this very site named NewYorkNoPicks.

Jesus christ you can't even craft a joke thread properly. Swiftly kill yourself.

no one wants to play in LA when Kobe is still there.
Once he leaves the free agents will flock in.

Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Carlos Boozer

Booz signed for 3m, and he is a free agent atm. Steve Nash was a mistake, I agree 100%, and Kobe brought us 5 championships you moron what are you trying to prove by adding his name there? The fact that we gave him a 2yr/48m deal? You do realize when Kobe won his last 2 chips, he was on a 3yr/90m contract, right? Worked out well.

Kobe is ridiculously overpaid. He is arguably the worst player in the NBA when factoring in contract and playing time. And this is coming from a HUGE Laker fan, bro.

Off topic, but the Toronto is a big market NBA team.

But they are a different problem all together because they are in a different country. The biggest problem is taxes and players not wanting to pay double of them... and obviously they haven't had good basketball teams to lure anybody.

The LMA interview, while he won't sign here, is still step in the right direction. They don't get an interview with a player lime that 5-10 years ago.

He's earned it...not like it's hurting us now anyways, we have enough cap to sign max players and no ones biting anyways. You guys act like he signed a 10yr/500m deal, it was a 2 year deal ffs.

And I doubt you are truly a Laker fan, no true Laker fan would ever compare our golden team to the disease that is New York basketball. Ever.

Both Lakers and Knicks got high risk, high reward guys in the draft. I have a feeling both will pan out and the 2 franchises are on their way up (really, couldn't get worse than last year anyway lol).

Name one high caliber free agent the Lakers have signed?

They have pretty much swindled their way to rings, through the back door, dirty deeds, that allowed for unimaginable trades to go down.

The Lakers are in terrible shape here's why.

Here’s the big difference between the Lakers and the other two teams bad teams(Wolves and Sixers). Those two teams are now loaded with young talent (Wiggins, Towns, and Levine for the Wolves and Embiid, Noel, and Okafor for the Sixers).
They've also been bad for years and have had plenty of opportunities with lottery picks.

This post is pathetically copied and pasted from the comment section of this (http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/07/01/report-lamarcus-aldridge-rules-out-lakers-in-free-agent-decision/) article because english is your 3rd language, so I shouldn't waste my time.

I think I remember James Dolan wrote some letter trashing a fan and said that he should root for the Nets just because he hated the direction the Knicks have been going through since his tenure.

I like how everyone always claims that 'big markets are good for the NBA. Fact is that the big markets will always be cash cows no matter what their win/loss record is.

James Dolan is a tool and not indicative of NY fans. KNICKS fans are starving. We have waited patiently for a winner. The NBA is better with the biggest markets doing well. Does the NBA need them to contend to be successful? No, but it would only help.

James Dolan is a moron and almost every Knick fan will acknowledge that.

Yes. But a small market with a crap record won't contribute nearly as much income to the league versus if they were good. The big markets will never have that problem. Of course, everyone wants the big markets to win, but from purely a financial point of view it would be better for small market teams to be good

What do you mean by desirable ?

Just talking about the team history or the city ? I completely agree with team history, it shouldn't favour us. Can't see why it's not a desirable place as a city, it's always on the top of the best cities to live in and visit. Like I said before, the biggest turn off about it and possibly not being desirable as a city is because it's nnot located in the States.
