:coleman: I've been waiting for deals on certain things to pop up so I could buy them, and they all happened to be in the same month. I was actually waiting for this nylon string guitar to be built, and the guy had it ready a couple weeks ago and I bought it for $2300. Then, a 4k LG TV deal popped up for $600, then there was a deal on a Telecaster for $850 brand new that just popped up. So I spent close to 4k on goods excluding rent, utilities, food, etc.

I mean it's all shit that I would have bought at some point this year anyway, but they all happened to pop up at once. Feels kind bad to lose that all in such a short span though

It happens, I've spent alot in one go like that before, but its better than putting things on finance etc.

Don't feel so bad, sometimes its good to spend a bit

Not really, if the interest is super low/non existent, why not finance it? I'd rather have cash on hand and pay for it monthly than blow it all away, right away.

To the OP: Why did you buy 2 guitars? You already spent 2300 for one, what made you buy the other one? And bruh, 2300? Is there anything special about said guitar that you copped? Cause that's a shit load of money to spend on just a hobby, especially when you buying multiple guitars. You part of a band?

I play/teach guitar for a living, so I'm in the business of buying guitars that I'll keep forever, instead of buying mediocre ones that need to be fixed/replaced often.

The $2300 one is a nylon string spruce top classical guitar hand carved/crafted. It's a beautiful sounding guitar, and built by a local guy around here who has a really good reputation, and builds guitars for a lot of the classical guitarists around the US

The other guitar I bought is a Fender Telecaster, which is something I've been meaning to buy for years. Normally $1300 new, but there was a deal to get them for $850 new so I had to jump on it now since that price won't come around again for a long time.

So yeah i'm not just spending it on a hobby. It's my work, and those guitars will be tax write offs too.

Happened to me a few weeks back. Picked up a new pinball machine for afew grand then a day later my car insurance, house rates and rego arrived at the same time which i hadn't been expecting. No big deal though i had the cash but just lowered my savings more than I'd expected.

Also teles are great guitars every guitarist needs one.

lol yes, but it just feels a little insane buying it all in the same month, but it's the best bang for my buck anyway. I would have spent the money at some point this year, so it's no biggie.

Curious, how much does a pinball machine cost? :lol

And yeah I'm glad I have a tele now. Well, it's still being shipped over, but I technically own it. Now I have a hollowbody, a strat, a tele, acoustic, and a nylon string. Pretty much everything I need
