I look at the current spurs and think if i gave them any other coach outside of pop they wouldnt make the playoffs. Even the hawks coach who is an apprentice of pops had a heck of a season and theyre a bunch of scrubs too.

How powerful is pops influence? ?

We are in agreement, Spurs 2014 wouldnt had made Playoffs with any other coach, and yet they won the rings with Kiwi as their best player. Thats the answer about GOAT coaching. Larry Brown pulled a miracle in '04 too.

Lets be real here that team does well because of the ball movement and the cohesion between them not the stand alone talent. Plus its the west.

You basically answered your own question in the OP though lol.

You said the Hawks coach did great with a bunch of scrubs too.
So yeah, Coach Bud could make the playoffs with the Spurs.

Pop wouldn't make the playoffs with last year's Knicks.

And yes pop would have made the playoffs with the knicks imo. Even if it meant benching melo. Guys a genius
