Ed Davis will sign a three-year, $20 million deal with Portland, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Pretty solid signing with Portland loading up on role players. They're still able to bring back LMA & Lopez, with making big improvements to big rotation. Still weak at SF on offense imo.

Why would he come back to a team that got jumped on in the playoffs, and lost all 3 of its wings.

Solid signing. One of the few bright spots from the Lakers last season

really like what the Blazers are doing. It's actually better for them long term if LMA doesn't come back.

They can get a lottery pick this year....develop all their young players...and then go after free agents in the coming couple summers.

This is how you do it in this climate. They are going to have a ready made team for stars to join in the next couple years. Will have an all star pg, young players, solid vet role players....etc.

Well done Portland.

Blazer fan will like him, he is a hustle player and is very good at the pick and roll. Ran it well with Lin, should do even better with Lillard.

I'm sad to see him go but at least this frees up playing time for Larry Nance and Julius Randle. We need a ****ing center though, unless Black has improved over the offseason dramatically or Upshaw showed promise as a NBA defensive stopper.

Happy for Davis he revived his career a bit last season but he was redundant on the current Lakers squad

I like the signing. Nothing significant, but it is good, and seems to be a good contract.
