The Suns have cleared $20M in salary cap space, allowing them to potentially sign LaMarcus Aldridge without the need for a sign-and-trade.

its getting real

Yeah, I didn't think it would happen. Must have lost some leverage with their legal trouble.

Yeah from what I heard they were acting a fool all the time and that the Suns decided to try and split them up awhile ago. I'm shocked that they managed to move one of them with a felony case hanging over their heads.

So what happens when Aldridge signs with San Antonio? Do the Suns panic and send Chandler out for Lee's contract? :oldlol:

They'll use their flexibility to make some other moves, I dunno. San Antonio might be the favorite for Aldridge but they have no other centers beyond Duncan, Phoenix has two, meaning Aldridge would pretty much always be playing the 4, that can't hurt their chances.

Looks like they'll still need to clear another 7 or 8 million to fit both Chandler and Aldridge's contracts. Bold move but at the same time more will need to be done.

Tucker and a pick to Dallas in a S&T for Chandler or Markieff Morris to Portland in a S&T for Aldridge are what is being reported.

Its also being reported that Detroit is likely to waive Granger.

Tucker and a pick to Dallas in a S&T for Chandler or Markieff Morris to Portland in a S&T for Aldridge are what is being reported. If they dump Tucker + pick for TC, they'd have a really solid big rotation.

They'd become really thin on the wing though. I guess they may re-sign Green in that scenario to backup Goodwin?

Why dont the pistons have to send salary back?

Are the pistons sending a trade exception to the suns?

Pistons have cap room... and still have some left after this trade.
