Most people were comparing him to marcus camby.:lol This guy only in his third season and has become a top 5 player. This guy looking like david robinson instead. How good do think he can become. People legit thought he was not going bust :D

Who's most people? Right out of the draft, he joined team USA with the likes of Kobe, Lebron, Durant etc. as the only rookie there. Everyone was saying he was going to be the next Timmy D (rightfully so...picking up a franchise and putting em on his shoulders), I've never heard him be compared to Marcus Camby, bruh.

I legit thought his frame would have given him the most trouble, in that he could get banged up easily. I thought he'd have issues dealing with physicality because of his slight stature. He proved me wrong there, as he's bulked up very well.

Edit: Didn't doubt his talent/abilities/potential, just thought he'd get nagging injuries. I would have taken him first 100/100

I don't know I saw a lot people who thought his offensive game would not become this good.

He could very well be the best player in the NBA within just a couple of years. I don't think anyone imagined he'd be THAT good.

I think he's going to explode next season. He's gonna be flirting with 30/10 for the season.

Pretty sure that was his NBA floor at draft time haha

Yes. It was obvious to anyone who watched him at Kentucky that he was on the same level as a prospect that LeBron was.

I heard Marcus Camby with better offense. That is actually a pretty good comparison.

It's his jumper...that's the surprising part. If he didn't have that shot, he'd still be a very good, defensive first, player who picks up garbage and runs the break.

It's what really keeps Giannis from being a superstar...lack of a reliable jumper. And it's what makes KD so great.

i didn't and its clear he's a worker; even since he was drafted the importance of bigs being decent three point shooters has grown exponentially. if he can hit 35+% from three he is going to be the best in the game for a good run provided he stays healthy

Lmao people trying to act like it was General consensus he'd be a top 5 player in the league after 3 years. Get the **** outta here, people knew he'd be good but not this good

Didn't watch him in college, but I have to believe he is even better than expected, especially given his age.

Dude just put up, what, 24/10/2/1/3 at age 21? Insane.

he was really thin but he put on a lot of muscle

Yes I did but not this fast. With his frame I thought he would take about 5-6 years to be at this level.

i did. when he joined team USA as the only rookie there and showed no fear, i knew he was legit.

it's just so sad he's in NOP right now. i really hope he leaves that shitty franchise after his rookie contract ends.

Hey, Camby dominated Duncan in college and people had some high hopes for him.

Though I don't really get the Davis/Camby comparison from a playstyle standpoint.

I expected him to be as good as LeBron

I was disappointed

Heck a 21 year old LeBron was better than him

Lebron at 21: 31.4 ppg 7.2 rebounds 6.6 assist
