Wow. I'm shocked. I thought he would return for sure. I guess having a bigger role was more important to him than winning. Guess he was sick of being 3rd wheel.

If I were the Mavs I'd be worried. 20 million for an overrated defender who wants a bigger role in the offense.

The West just got weaker. Clips no longer legit contenders and Dallas was on the downside anyways.

Said it after their choke job: Clippers missed their shot last season.

Now they gonna lose DJ and the Lakers landed a potential top 5 alltime player. Back to be the ugly red headed stepchild.

We added Lance and Pierce. To say we would've had no chance isn't fair.

Gotta give Parsons his props....well done

Now Mavs...make the sign and trades to retain cap and go out and get a starting guard and backup big. Keep Barea when it's all said and done. RJ coming back is essential now as well.

Could be a damn good team depending on who we land now...I'd imagine a lot of guys will want to play on this team now.

Parsons....

It's crazy to me that he expects to be anything other than the 5th option starting on any team. Really, it's just so ridiculous to me. What is it exactly that he wants, does he wants more post ups called for him? He was reaping benefits from playing with two of the best passers on their positions and a knock down shooter. His post game is weak, he's got no jumper, he's not a good passer and he's one of the worst free throw shooters to ever play in the NBA. How the hell is he going to be featured more than he already is? He should stop crying, recognise what his limits and his role are and hit the gym.

Carlisle is a good coach. He's not going to let his team suffer by featuring DJ offensively. DJ made a dumb move. Like you said, he was in a great place. Cp3 and Blake are great set up men.

David west?

He'd be perfect...and if we do sign and trades...we can give him more money than the teams he's looking at currently. Not sure he'd want to come here though.

We must keep cap open for a pg in my opinion, but we'll see.

The two big pieces are done and salvaged this whole deal. I said I'd give Parsons a lot of credit and oh man does he deserve it. Now he's got to continue it on the court, but that signing last summer now looks a whole lot better and giving him big money next summer is fine by me if he continues to improve and can land free agents like this.

But this Mavs team is still incredibly flawed and thin...what happens in the next few days will make or break this upcoming season.
