I lurk around on these boards during the playoffs every year and it seemed like people were real high on him the year they beat the Rockets. Have people given up on him? I still see him improving his skills. He finished better this year but his shot wasn't as consistent. If that shot comes back to where it was, and he continues to develop his left hand layups and floaters, I can see this kid being a pretty great player. One that will be interesting to discuss, much like Chauncey Billups was, because of all the things he does that don't show up on a boxscore.

What do you guys think? I'm still high on this kid, but he did struggle alot when Aldridge was injured. Didn't look too great as the number one scoring option.

Will have a breakout year next year as the 1st option.

His last name rhymes with Lizard. He kind of looks like one, too. Maybe he's a lizard off the court.

50 win playoff team with a massive implosion. What did lilard do to drive away his other 4 starters ?

I like him but not in love with him, especially as a 1st option. His shit defense and all-star bitching made the board turn on him (and I can't really blame them.) He's still a quality player though. Portland had to give him that huge contract.

I don't know , that's what I'm trying to figure out. Does anyone have any information? I haven't heard anything.

No real reports of locker room/major chemistry reports. Portland just had a shit load of injuries, leading to their breakdown. Aldridge and Lillard were both playing through injuries and Wes was out, so it's no surprise they got stomped in the playoffs. Batum also claimed to have had injuries but i'm not sure if that was legit or just French trickery.

He whined about not being an All-Star and then we got named as a replacement, sucked it up bad in the All-Star game.

I think he needs to get better and work his ass off to become a great player.

I worry that he got too much money early in his career. Will he be motivated to be the greatest or just be happy being a sub 45% jump shooter. I think last year he got into a funk with his shot and never recovered. I expect 82 games of consistency next season. He better score at least 25 PPG and shooter above 45%. He should be a 90% free throw shooter as well.

No way are the bolded "clearly" better. Lillard is definitely in the next tier of PG's.

Can be an elite 3 point shooter. Just needs to calm down on some of the shots he takes.

He's really solid but he's one of those guys who when he goes up against Westbrook gets completely blown away. At this point there are a lot of good PG's in the league, but I judge them based on how they look against Westbrook.

He turned me off (pause) when he whined about not initially making the AS team...then went on to prove the voters right by chucking in the 2nd half of the season and the playoffs. Plus I'm not a fan of shoot 1st PG's.

He's a talented, skilled player and he's young so I can see him possibly becoming elite in the near future. Mainly has to improve his defense and shot selection.
