Well **** me, this offseason was a colossal fail. ****ing Mitch, the Magic wouldn't of matched a max offer. We missed out on EVERYONE ELSE YOU STUPID BITCH, overpaying for a 22 year old that averaged 17/6 at SF wouldn't of been that big of a deal. For ****s sack, Aldridge isn't signing with us, this is sooooo ****ing stupid that we pull out from all other options just to have a 5% chance of signing LMA. GTFO.

A 5 year max? I think 16m was his max.
Good signing

You're damn right it would of been, its better than sitting and waiting for Aldridge to take a shit in our face. Like I said, dude is 22 and had a good season, not like we would be paying DJ 20m/per. And wouldn't Harris max be similar to Middleton's 70m contract? Really wouldn't of been bad, it would of been a good fit looking at it from a basketball prospective, forget financial when we've done shit in free agency the past 3 years with ample cap space.

He was legit the only guy left worth giving a damn about, Mitch just gonna sit on his hands and wait for Durant to reject us next year. I don't get it.

i don't give two shits what the rumours say. he was getting resigned regardless of the offer. it was in magic's best interest to sign him. you don't lose an asset for nothing 16m was his max anyways.

Eh. Not much has changed
Payton
Oladipo
Harris
Gordon (?)
Vucevic
Gordon might not start but I hear he has made strides this offseason. He's young as hell still though.

I just kept seeing name after name get picked up all over the league, kept thinking well shit...we gotta at LEAST be able to sign SOMEBODY. Nope.
At least we got the rookies/2nd year players to look forward to (plenty of them, 7 guys under age of 22...Clarkson just turned 23 so he'd be 8), but a FA signing would of been welcomed by alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll of us with our arms wide ****ing open.

Should be used to it by now under jimmy boy..
They went all out for melo and ignored everyone else and wound up with lin:facepalm
And now they're doing the exact same thing, also why in the fu*k would durant ever want to come to LA?:lol :facepalm
By signing a few guys like Harris we could have been competitive and made a push for the playoffs with other teams dropping off, but instead making no moves and we don't even have a pick in the next draft:facepalm

This year is all depends on internal growth and Skiles. Playoffs are defiinitely a goal this season. I really like this team and I hope this is their year to show out. I think it mostly depends on the backcourt

eh. sometimes you have to swing for the fences, but they definitely screwed up a bit. i don't think LA had a plan B though which is strange when they have no pick next year. russel is young too so it's going to take him some time...
clarkson
russel
kobe (? will they put him at the 3 or what?)
randle
sacre (?)
that's a lottery team but the pick is going to philly...

Blame Mitch as much as you blame Jim, he's the one that always focuses on the "big picture" as if that means ONLY sign big time guys.
There is no one left who will make this team better in FA other than Aldridge. Who are they gonna go after when he finally says fuc kyou to our front office, Josh Smith? Amare? It's Carlos Boozer all over again :facepalm

No. We wouldn't have lost Harris. We could sign Harris and Milsap
It would have looked like this
Payton
Oladipo/Hezonja
Harris/Gordon
Millsap/Frye
Vucevic/Dedmon
Starting 5 would be really good and then you bring Hezonja and Gordon off the bench which is good.

yeah.
both the 4 and 5 are good shooters and even though millsap isn't a shotblocker, he has shown he can be sucessful with a good defensive scheme (he's like 3rd in DRPM)
payton and dipo can drive freely and if dipo and harris improve their 3 point shots even more (harris shot like 50% from one corner) then you have a good 3 point shooting team. Hezonja can do his thing off the bench and Gordon can play the 3 with no issues. would have been so fun :(

I bet you Mitch didn't wanna offer him the max because he wanted to leave the 3 spot open for a chance at Durant next season...Lakers FO is acting like the Mavs post championship, expecting everyone to wanna come over to our team.
