Aldridge, who turns 30 on July 19, has spent all nine seasons of his NBA career with the Portland Trail Blazers, developing into one of the league's best big men. The good thing is that Parker's contract becomes less of a burden once the cap goes up next year.

Yeah, he totally should have stayed in Portland the rest of his career and simply played for the money because thats not equally as shallow in some peoples eyes...

the guy is 30... gave his old team a decade to build a championship team around him and they didnt... so he goes back to his home state where his family lives, still gets paid a near max deal (not taking a cut or anything like David West) and gets to play with a bunch of guys who can not only deliver a ring but a franchise he can take over once Tim finishes and ultimately be a part of something much, MUCH more special in the long run than he could have ever in Portland.
