Next year the price of everyone goes up.. Stars.. Role players.. Bench players... While the extra $20M looks nice on paper it does not mean you can stack your team... Well it means you only can if you already have most your team locked up on lower contracts already.. Lakers do not so next year they will have to pay premiums to sign anyone at all...

And the last few years have shown that top free agents are signing with teams that are contenders instead of signing in big markets.. Lakers won't contend next season again.. And will struggle to sign top free agents next year as well because of it.

This will the lakers lost decade now..

Sure they guy looks good in a ncaa game.. But I do not believe in ghosts.. I do not believe in aliens.. I do not believe in the Loch Ness monster... Why? Because I do not believe in things that haven't been seen.. And he hasn't even played a NBA game yet.. So like most people that are drafted he needs to prove himself... Just like any draftee..

oh the horror

You don't believe in things you haven't seen yet but you're predicting an entire decade when you haven't seen it yet.

Dam lakers fans salty as fk ATM.. Best player they could get in the offseason is Roy hibbert

All I'm saying with your young kids.. Let them develop and see how they go.. Laker fans already think he is going to put them into comtention.. And he hasn't even played a game.. :facepalm

If they became contenders this year Jim Buss would have stayed on. Being bad this year is still good for the team. Meanwhile they can try to develop their young players.

You don't get it.. Most the top teams already have a lot of keys players locked in for several years already.. And those contracts are based on lower salary caps..
Lakers have no one locked in.. Hence they pretty much have to build a new roster next offseason.. And everyone will cost more..

All jokes aside I see this as a 2005-2006 season for the Lakers when their second best player was Odom.. Makes it to first to second round of playoffs by kobes sheer will
