You have to be mentally tough to perform great as a laker. Just look at the history....
Hibbert has been known to crack under pressure (playoffs)
Even dwight felt the laker pressure. His freethrow % dropped when he became a laker.
Its the real deal in LA and hibbert aint got the mind right.

I personally like the addition. Hibbert has hit a rather embarrassing wall, but dude is legit 7'2 and has played at an all star level before.
I'm more concerned about the offense

Nobody will have pressure as a Laker this year. The viewership was down significantly last year, it will be even worse this year. Plus, no amount of pressure ever forced Hibbert to get a rebound. He'll be the same trash can he's been his whole career. Enjoy him

He can't be any worse than he's been in Indiana

No expectations = no pressure.
Difference with Dwight was that they expected no less than a championship from him every season, which he was more than capable of doing. He just decided to settle as the second option on a good Houston team. That's not something that went well with Kobe and the Lakers.
Hibbert's primary role is to play defense and block out. He's supposed to do what Jordan Hill should have been doing last season.
Lakers are finally the underdogs. It's time for them to start from the ground up.
