Not to be confused with the surface pro 3. All I want is some feedback about that product as I am wondering if to buy that or buy a S-Pro 3 or a HP Xspectre (which is cheaper for what it brings).

i have one. it's great for travel and if you are always on the move but i use my laptop in bed alot so the surface is not very comfortable in that position. so basically, if you are primarily using it on desks and when traveling then it's a buy. if you are using it while in bed or on your lap then you probably want to pass.

I would use it on the desk as a laptop but on bed I would use it as a tablet. Is it any good as a tablet?

So any feedback? Is it comfy to use? What about the keyboard? Etc etc...

My sister's nurse has a S-Pro i5. She always has it with her, and has a lot of good things to say about it. I used the keyboard and it's honestly a fine experience. It's designed for both tablet and laptop use, you wouldn't find much trouble using it as either. It's a great product.

HP spectre is a lot less special. Not that much of a price different. Sure, you can use it as a tablet, but I wouldn't. It's larger and nearly twice as heavy and not all that much more powerful. Both are very capable devices, but I'd lean a lot more towards the Surface Pro 3.

Pro 3s are supposed to be very nice units. If you have the cash and want something in that genre, then definitely pick one up. Read the CNet review.

The regular surface 3 is fine for occasional videos, facebook, internet browsing. Personally I would spend the extra money for the Pro but that's just me.

In general, I think they are a great device but I will say get a good case for it. They are prone to break and are almost impossible to repair.

I would wait to the 4s come out...

Im looking for feedback of regular people, not a reviewer. Either way already read that.

S-Pro 3 is worth all your cash, it's fast, lots of storage (internal and cloud), keyboard and touch has amazing response and feels great. Get it if you travel a lot or just get it if you want a new laptop, it's incredible

I pretty much want it for internet browsing. I am making a web app where I need to have three to 4 screens on me all the time (One screen for the server, another for visual studio, another for the web app simulation) and I need one extra computer for web browsing in case I need help, also to have my app on the screen. (is like a guide for code that I recopilated from the web that I put on my app that has a search bar so I can search it quicker and don't have to go to the web all the time and lose time )

I don't want another laptop because I don't necesarily need the extra space and I would like to be touch (my app runs pretty much with a mouse input and the touch input should work as well) as I would like to use the keyboard as needed. I do it right now with my nexus 7 but as of now it is too small to me and I need a bigger tablet but I also need it to work as a computer.

Yeah, better to get feedback from dumbass on a basketball message board than a professional tech reviewer.

Or I could get feedback from a professional and normal people who actually uses the device. Is not like I haven't read any reviews at all...

Why you gotta be like that Deuce :(

Anyways, reviewers usually have a shallow perspective on things. Most do "reviews" overnight, some two days, maybe a week for some. Some make a "challenge" out of using it any longer. They review it from a reviewers perspective, not an average consumer, and are often bias even because they want to stay on the good side of companies.

You just don't get the full story. When I buy new tech, or expensive things I tend to go visit communities of any kind that can tell their story on things. Reddit is a good example of that. If you're planning on dropping upwards of a $1000 it doesn't hurt to ask around. Especially on the basketball message board where you're active on.

Anyways, Bandito this is a closed case. Surface Pro 3 or bust I say. It has a much better screen with higher resolution, much more optimized for multi-tasking, it's much lighter and more portable (can't understate this, it's pretty awesome how travel-friendly it is), you can bundle it with the Office365 and have 1tb of Cloud Storage. It's sounds like the ideal purchase for you. Like I said my sister's nurse uses it a ton. Going around the city visiting several patients a day and keeping track of all the data and notes she needs, if she can accomplish all that then surely it can help you out.

"Impossible to repair" is an issue (IIRC ifixit gave a bad rating), but really only if you're the one trying to repair it. I really doubt the Pro 4 will be any different. The most that will get is a Broadwell CPU (no difference in performance, just less power consumption), slightly thinner design, and a USB Type-C connector. Not really worth the wait tbh.

I am going to wait for December and see, but I would probably buy an i5 surface with 256 gb hardrive.
