TT turned down that 5 years 80mil, cos this clown thinks he's better than Green, and also, just cos he's Lebron's buddy. This clown really thinks he deserves 5yr 92mil contract?

well, Dan needs to tell TT to suck it up and take whatever. if TT wanna leave, then tell him to fk off, cos he's just a backup.

Lebron wont sign contratc until TT's contract is sorted. I say let's Lebron take whatever sweet time he needs, cos if he's not coming back cos of TT, he can fk off and go sign with other team. Let him rot like a little shit if he think he's powerful enough to threaten any NBA and its owners.

bunch of clowns think moneys grow on trees.

LOL this, TT is overrated. An average PF that everyone is hyping up cause LeBron made him better

Give him 5 year $50M or tell him to GTFO

The value of his franchise is directly related to having Bran on his team. He's not gonna let the value plummet over a contract for Thompson.

Worth every penny, when you have someone like TT you either max him or lose him and any chance at a ship.

Aren't you the clown in this case?
Dan is trying to make money. He will at least get all the money back that he is spending on the cavs just from team revenue and then he will make more profit from his casino which is right next to the arena.

So he will make all this money while improving the image of Cavs in the eyes of future free agents who will know that cavs will spend the money if it is needed.

Dude TT is like 23 or 24. Very young with a huge upside, he deserve the money. Plus if scrubs are getting paid why not him...

I actually agree.

They are already offering more money than any other team in the league would. You're a basketball player, justify your contract by your skills/production/hard work, not by pulling strings.

LeQueen holding the Cavs hostage and the players involved making the best out of it.

LeTards can't see why it's wrong for Lebron to say the things he did. Cavs bleeding money, signing poor contracts is not something I am against so keep at it Lebron. Gilbert is one of the bitches responsible for the new CBA. **** him.

i just love when teams like miami and cavs can make big market teams fans so salty.

This is the best thing lebron can do. Cavs can't sign any free agent for a few years so why not make Dan pay more money. Cavs don't lose anything as a basketball club by paying TT a little more.

You do realize that it can be all sorts of factors besides $$ that can hold up a new contract... options, etc etc etc can all be negotiated

contracts with RFAs can take some time.... there's no hurry as long as they get it done by the end of the summer... either way he'll be a Cav next season, only real question is will he be a UFA next summer or under a multi year contracr

They don't lose anything? ...  numbers in this league matter, specially long 4 year least contract numbers.

A little more can be a 10m difference or a 20m difference...and that's a solid bench player right there (1 or 2). We're talking about a high energy guy with great rebounding skills but almost 0 offensive game.

What Lebron does is give TT and his agent leverage. Not that I am surprised a LeTard will find a way to spin what otherwise is known as holding a franchise hostage and giving free-agents leverage.

Cavs have alteady overpaid Varejao and Shumpert. No other team would have given either one of them $10M per year.

I like that the Cavs owner is committed to winning at any cost though.

Reminds me of Kobe's contract.

Indeed. Front office made that contract. Kobe took it. Although I think any franchise would of done similar numbers, perhaps 10m less but not any less. Unless they had a solid excuse and plan to put forward - which apparently, the Lakers didn't have. Keyword on apparently.

Thompson's contract would look cheap in the next few years. Cavaliers wants to sign them to a longer contract.

LBJ is going to sign the contract on July 9.

yeah u can't keep over paying guys just to keep Lebron happy. Teams will not take these contracts when it comes time to trade because they stinking up the place. TT is only good for rebounding. If Lebron wasn't on the team he would be back to his old ways of forcing up ugly shots and getting them blocked. Can't be playing a rebounder crazy amount of money when he has no offensive game and his defense stinks. There's a reason they went and got Mozgov when TT was starting in AV place. He was getting abused and couldn't block a shot for sh!t and don't get me started on his players running back door on his ass.

I wouldn't be paying players because of what they did in the playoffs. I'd pay them because how they did during the whole season.

If Verajao were healthy this season (and Cleveland still landed Mozgov), Thompson would have had about 30 DNPs and averaged less than 8 minutes per game.

Teams need to stop overpaying trash players whose ceiling will never exceed 3rd best player on a good team. In this case, Thompson has no offensive game to speak of and isn't much of a defender. On this Cleveland team, he isn't even the 4th most valuable asset. I'd rather have Mozgov over him any day.

If I were Cleveland, I'd try to package a deal to ship TT to the Clippers in exchange for a deal that includes JJ Redick. I'd ignore Joe Johnson. Reddick would be a far better fit on the Cavs.

Red duck is not needed...the team needs someone who can back up Lebron and they need another PG.

Same agent as LeBron. This nikka gonna get however much $ he wants, I don't think you guys understand how much power LeBron holds over the Cavs organization.
