How did you find ISH?

I wonder what everyone's story is, as far as finding ISH for the first time.

I know I lurked for almost the entire 13' reg season, before registration opening.

But the first time I found the site?

I probably was on Google, trying to find 2012 LeBron vs 2009 Kobe arguments.

I was held captive for 3 weeks in a stash house for the Mexicans a few clicks east of Oakland. This stash house was full of guns... AKs, M9s, pump action shotguns... you name it. I was a witness to a murder a couple of their dorito el salsa boys committed... Those wetbacks don't play around ese'. Only reason why I wasn't dead is because I had intel of lots of guns.... About 500k worth of high quality Russian imports that got compromised and buried in barrels somewhere in the Butte county plain near Richardson Springs.

The bikers stashed them there and I saw them. I tried to sell the information to the brothas in Oakland and on the way to Richardson Springs we got ambushed. I used the intel as a bargaining chip to stay alive...

Long story short, the cops followed them to Richardson Springs, got the Mexicans and one of them must have talked and eventually the cops found me at the Stash house as a prisoner...

After all of that all I could remember of the time was these brownies talking about basketball and Kobe Bryant. It spurred me to take my talents elsewhere and join in on the fun. I loaded up Google search and typed in the words.... "The best basketball forum of all time"

Searching hypothetical basketball information. It was either ISH or RealGM. It just seemed like ISH had more knowledgeable fans. Actually didn't discover off the court portion of ISH until about 3 months using it. I first found it I would say in the winter of 2013. Didn't really make an account until fall/spring 2014 because I was extremely busy for awhile and didn't have that much free time.

It's mostly also because all my friends are casual fans of sports. I often go into the analytic aspect of basketball a lot more than most people I hang with. So it's nice to be "beat" by someone on here who knows more than me and in return, I learn more about basketball.

I knew about this forum before I joined, used to read people's posts. And then the Lakers lost to the Celtics in 08. Not a Lakers fan but loved Kobe and he was getting crucified. Talking to my gf at the time was like talking to a wall, she had no sympathy for Kobe who she hated because he cheated on his wife :lol So I needed a place to discuss basketball in general.

didn't really have time to talk hoop/troll new "bball fans" until 06' - 07' ...started on YA and YT..then migrated to ISH around 08' ( someone in a YT flame war told me about ISH)

- the flame wars on YT were ok....but I found ISH more fun ( got banned a few times in 09' for making fun of Larry Bird and MJ.....Mods had power back then!!!! and they didn't take no sh!t)

- some really good posters here and some really funny BBALL fans who just like to talk trash....hopefully everyone has fun and being here makes them keep loving BBall....:cheers:
