...why? He's garbage now. That isn't any real attack on him...he's basically from the Allen, Kobe, Carter era and look at them...all pretty much done or crap now. Without the quickness and athleticism he had Manu is just a really streaky shooter. I honestly don't see any reason why the Spurs would want him to come back. He had a nice career...let it go.

He can be our victory cigar in garbage time like T-Mac.

they should pay him 20m for that one last year for all the loyalty and money he left on the table.

He's still a good ball handler, shooter, passer. Even at his age he's still great to have on the team for what we're probably paying him.

Can still hit some huge shots. Look at the Clippers Game 7 where he looked completely done then the 4th quarter came along and he was hitting clutch 3s. As long as you don't need him to be Batmanu anymore, I think most teams wouldn't mind him on their bench.

In b4 he costs the Spurs another playoff series.

Ginobili is still their best playmaker and a stabilizer for the 2nd unit. Tony Parker is a black hole shoot first point guard that tends to dribble, dribble, dribble and stagnate the Spurs offense. It doesn't help that he's getting washed up either. When Ginobili is in the game the ball moves a lot better. He can't force his offense like he used to but he's still one of the best passers in the league and dangerous on the screen and roll. Too bad his boy Splitter is gone now though. They used to run that play to perfection.

Exactly this. I hate Manu...except for when he was one of the ones who won us the chip in 05

Yup. He was awesome in 2014. Cost them a ring in 2013 though.

Great news - I want them to break all the NBA trio records. Manu will play PG for the second unit. Still need a backup center and wing who can shoot the 3.

If you call yourself a Spurs fan and aren't thrilled with manu coming you should just kill yourself right now.

He was massive in 2005 and 2014. Hit some of the most clutch shots in SA history and even in old age is still a great playmaker and leader. You can never ever count him out.

Spurs are a lock for the Finals thanks to this offseason.
