14 pts on 7/15 from the field in 20 mins. Some nice moves out there.

5 rebs and 2 blks as well. He looks solid in this game. He's going to get bullied early on against actual pros but should adjust.

Mitch better hope that Russell turns out looking better than this kid. Seriously :oldlol:

His first half was 3/11 for 6 points, so he's stepped up in the second half for sure. All 5 rebounds and 2 blocks were in the first half.

I think he's a while off really impacting the NBA, but should be solid enough.

Early on he couldn't get off the college moves that worked so effortlessly. He's settled down and shown a nice little jumper this game. Actually i love that jumper he has in his game. That's all he needs. But he does need to get deeper in the paint. Defensively he has been what you expected. Just uses his long standing reach to alter shots. But really no rim protector or beast on the boards.

Gotta work on them free throws. I dont get how he can hit contested jumpers but miss free throws uncontested.

He has a very polished post game already. Needs to work on building strength and conditioning though.

Garbage in first half, unstoppable machine in the 3rd.

Very skilled player :applause:

He's been blocked 3 times which is a tough worrying, but something he'll be able to work on.

okafors beasting... 20 points on 50%... 9 rebounds

but as good as he is D'alpha will turn any big he plays with into a much better player anyway. while helping others at the same time and putting his own points up too

randle is a perfect compliment to a guy like russell... theyel could play a stockton/malone type of game

With Okafor you can get 30 a night.

With Towns you're lucky to get 15.

But defense, though...

What he showed in one game is already more advanced than Al Jefferson's whole offensive game.

I thought players were evolving. Wilt and Russell were measured at 39 inches in the 60s.

I was very impressed with the variety of his shots in his repertoire.

He had drives using his left hand, face ups, regular post ups, bank shots, mid range jumpers, catching passes in traffic from the PG for a slam, fast break dunks. That covers a lot of ground. If he continues to work hard, and if the 76ers play their offense through him,he may be a 20/10 guy off the bat.

On defense, he needs a lot of work even though he had 2 blocks.

Okafor will be a multiple time AS, and he may usher a new era in a few years, the era of the big man once again.

Okafor when asked about his performance and what would he give himself grade wise he said "C-".

Wilts fingerroll would have no chance in todays league clearly. Unathletic scrubs back then compared to now.
:oldlol: :lol

Btw, I think it's funny the people posting about Randle's "unique" ability to go coast to coast and dunk the ball when Russell did the same thing all those years ago.

There is actually a lot to like about this guy. He looks like he will be a versatile scorer.

The only "real" issue I saw with him was his conditioning. He looked like he's been enjoying the good life a little too much. With some hard work in the gym he's gonna be good. He just has to put in the time and effort to refine himself. The skills are definitely there.

Okafor will be better with a full year of NBA strength and conditioning. His size and skill now allow him to potentially be better than Al Jefferson.
Defensively, he will have issues. In Philly they have Nerlens who will be able to mask his deficiencies.

Okafor = Demarcus Cousins without the attitude/emotional issues. Skilled, great footwork, not an above average leaper. Give Okafor the rest of the summer and training camp and he will have a very solid rookie year. Who are today's best centers???? Gasol, DMC, Brook Lopez( jury is out on DeAndre Jordan). I would consider none of them overly athletic.

Boogie made 1st Team Las Vegas All Summer League heading into rookie year on these stats:

6 Games
14.5 pts/game
9.8 rebs/game
33% FG
4.8 TO/gm
4.8 fouls/gm
1.9 Ast/gm
