Wade during this stretch performed the best vs Elite Defenses :applause:

This is so deceiving. A team with a 100 DRTG is a lot better than one with 103 but both are elite under this. I'm pretty sure Wade never played the best defense in history like Bron and Kobe did (08 Celtics) or another top 25 all-time defense like the 09 Magic (-6.4 relative to league average.)

Raw DRTG is useless. You have to look they compare to the league-average.

Wade didn't face the 2008 Celtics. However, he averaged 38 pts on 51% shooting vs the Magic in 2009.

This doesn't surprise me. Of the three playing well (but not absolutely just on fire making everything)...Wade is easily the most effective player at his best. His elite ability to get to the rim makes this so. Neither Kobe or Lebron can get to the basket the way he can.

So are we gonna ignore how trash Wade's Heat teams were between 2006 and 2011 that had them ending up at the bottom of the playoff bracket facing the Top Seeded teams.

I noticed this a while ago actually: that Wade's output never seemed to drop off against really good defensive teams, and that he was just as likely to have one of his poor games against a shitty team as against a good one. Has been a trend throughout his career, and why he was such a great playoff performer at his best.

Damn, so Bran is the least efficient of the 3?

Well this is the reason why bran has to join wade. And once wade is done, he now has to risk on kyrie becoming wade.

his supporting cast during that time was worse than all of bran's post-2006 teams.. so was kobe's pre-pau.... pre-pau, kobe's lakers were a literal cba/d-league team.

btw, MJ faced Utah's 100.3 playoff DRtg in 1998 Finals.. That's a lower playoff DRtg than any team these guys faced in the Finals.. Well, Kobe faced a couple Finals teams with lower playoff DRtg's, but only alongside Shaq, so not as the #1 option.

Those teams were complete garbage. In the 2010 Playoffs JO averaged 2ppg on 15% shooting and Beasley 8pts on 33% shooting but people blast him for losing with this :facepalm

Meh, I'm more impressed with the 50+ win, west coast teams than these figures. I mean...didn't Milwaukee have one of the best DRTG's for a few years there?

Wade has beaten the most 60+ Win Teams out of the 3.

What's harder to score on?

vs. Iggy with 0 help defenders on strongside (due to weakside spacing)

vs. Rodman with 4 help defenders on strongside (no weakside spacing)

Of course, weakside spacing leaves the strongside with fewer defenders (1st GIF), which necessitates the flooding of defenders BACK TO the strongside - this is how strongside floods originated.

Otoh, as the second GIF showed, weakside spacing didn't exist in previous eras, so defenders weren't lured away from strongside - defenders just remained on the strongside, which meant players faced strongsides that were already flooded with all 5 defenders (5-defender strongsides (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=11128077&postcount=21), which is stark contrast from today's weakside spacing and resulting 1-defender strongsides (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=377570)).

This chart proves what all of us know already, Kobe is the best PO performer out of the three.

Wade is by far the best when healthy... The other two stat padded vs bad teams.

MJ being my favorite athlete of all time, it would be very hard for someone to make me sick of him but you're well on your way. What the hell does this have to do with the thread topic?
