If this was a pick from any other team, we would hardly hear about him until either summer league or his first couple of pro games.. But Lakers fans are so happy just to be relevant in the off-season, even if they won't be during the season.

this kid is going to explode onto the scene. I wouldn't be surprised if he is better than Kobe this year.

If Jerry West said this kid is gonna be a star, then I'd be inclined to believe him. He has some experience... Kobe, Curry, Thompson

Russell is going to be just fine, a better long term move than Okafor. Last thing the Lakers needed was another non defending big man. Seen enough of that the last three years
