If they pan out they hit a homerun, if they don't they have nothing to lose, could start over again.

Upshaw yes. If this was last years team, I would say yes to Beasley. I'm a little hesitant to say yes on this squad. He might bring the wrong mentality around our young core. Upshaw has his issues, but he's on a level playing field with the rest of the core. And he's got something to prove.

Nothing there. The guy is talented, though.

I've given up on believing that Michael Beasley will ever live up to his potential.

I hope that he proves me wrong

Michael Beasley or Derrick Williams ? Who will better next season ?

Kinda crazy how their careers have been near mirror images (Beasley has had more off court issues). Both #2 overall picks In their drafts, both had a lot of hype coming out of college, both a came into the league as flawed tweeners and the NBA game just caught up with them... now both are busts and have been on more than 2 teams in their brief careers.

I think if they could have been elite 3 point shooters, they could have turned out alright but still a disappointment considering where they were drafted.

only laker fans would still say Beasley is talented if he joins their team.

the rest of us let his boat sail a long time ago. He'll give you 1 productive game for every 7 or 8 bad ones. so yes, Go to LA Mike!

Lakers won't take on Beasley...

Upshaw is in camp, but it's only for summer league so far

Lakers roster for next season is currently at 13 or 14

People are still waiting for Beasley to "pan out"?

Imagine if the Heat took Russell Westbrook or even Love, Lopez, Deandre, and Ibaka instead of Beas... 2 years before Bron And Bosh came....

Bron would have never left and that team is winning 10 titles with one of those picks. A couple may not have fit but could bring other great assets via trade.

Beasley and Mayo turned out to be almost as bad of picks as Darko.

It's probably a case of three or four posters here who still think beasley is going to improve at 27 years old who keep making a new thread every year about how if only he landed in the right spot he could be amazing. 5 years ago that could have been the case but I think that ship has sailed

If Beasley was gonna pan out, it would have already happened.

I'm still waiting for Adam Morrison to pan out.
