a lot of times its for stupid shit tho. the law generally see's black and white, you break the law u serve the time. so pardons in some of those cases are sensible, just not to those who are lawful to a fault.

like weed offenses. it'll be legal throughout the country in the next 10~ years but mf'ers are serving prison sentences or have marks on their record for it. the laws are very imperfect but judged as absolute.
