He was projected to be a top 1-2 pick in the 2016 Draft. Any comments on his game??

He's gonna play for Kentucky this coming NCAA Season.

Skal:moves well
great shot and blocks shots. Weak right now and has short arms for a center. Need to work on low post game.
vs
Simmons: Point forward, good rebounder, nice slasher, versatile defender, average jump shot at best no scoring moves.
:applause:

Ok.

Did Maker reclassified in the 2016 NBA Draft Class?? or he'll enter the NBA Draft in 2017.

from those highlights he looks like he has a nice mid-range stroke, and for his age he has a good frame with some muscle on him. Would have to see more of him playing, preferably against good competition

He's duel with Thon Maker. Near 7 feet players are now playing as small forwards.

He also moves like a little bit of Dirk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XzAcsx32XY

By the way that jump hook in the other videos is money.

Thon Maker didn't meet the credits required to reclassify, so he'll enter his senior year in high school this fall. We won't get to see him play college ball until next year, sadly.

You thinking about Brian Scalabrine??

I've watched a few games of Skal's and been pretty impressed. Maybe in part because he wasn't someone I was that familiar with.

Basically he's the prototype new age stretch four. And he does the two things everyone wants, protects the rim and stretches the floor. I'd think more Karl Anthony Towns, but with both a higher ceiling and a lower floor. Towns was way more refined on the block, and has a body built for holding up.
Labissiere probably has more raw athleticism, but other than the shooting, the ball skills aren't as good as Towns, and who knows how he'll fill out physically.

I've really come around on Simmons after being a little underwhelmed by his all around game that seemed unwilling to take over. It was a question that I had about Wiggins entering Kansas, that hung with him, and still hangs a little bit. And that's in spite of my personal love for that all around all court kind of game. It's just not what I want out of a number one pick. But Simmons seems to already be filling out physically, and is just the best player in this class by a pretty wide margin. And with the advancement of the zone schemed defenses, and the ball movement offenses to counter them, Simmons' all around game may really play great at the pro level.

I'm not all that high on Maker. He's still awfully raw. And even the physical stuff, while impressive, looks a little awkward.

Come to think of it, a smaller Porzingis is probably not a terrible comp. The size, raw athleticism, rim protecting instincts, and ability to stretch the floor. But similar flaws in that the post games need some refining, the frames really need to be filled out, and the in between games need some real work to truly be great.

He is a much, much better offensive player.

Coming to UK, their offensive games are not even on the same level.

Everyone in this thread is nuts...dude is basically Brandan Wright 2.0 (Wright was a top 3-4 high schooler too). Don't be fooled.
