Too much drama for an overrated big, Mavs are better off in the long run IMO.

Mavs are screwed time to blow it up and rebuild. Buy out Dirk contract or let him retire no reason for him to go out on lottery team his final years of his career.

He might be overrated if people think he's a superstar, but he's really good. His deficiencies are very evident, and I think that makes him seem worse than what he is, but he is elite at rebounding, finishing, and shot-blocking. Like really good at it. His on-court impact is pretty high. He practically shut James Harden down in the Rockets series, for instance. Harden wanted nothing to do with the rim because of him.

Jordan did this on purpose ever since the beginning for publicity and to force the clippers to give him the 5 year max

A reasonably measured response from a guy who was probably ready to burn down an entire neighborhood last night.
DJ, at least pick the phone up and say "Hey, I'm having a serious change of heart here...I know we had a deal, and I'm sorry to do this...but I'm staying in LA." That's bitchmade if he just didn't answer Cuban's calls.

Not really. He was offered the 5 year Max from the Clippers, from the jump. He personally decided that he's only signing for 4 years with an option, so he can reenter free agency at 30.

Lmao he just got an 88 million dollar contract. That contract is worth more than you and your entire ancestry have made combined. Get a life, loser.

They should really have a reality show following the Clippers locker room next season cuz there is gonna be some entertaining drama going on. Doc got his hands full.

What a weak ass argument. Having or not having money doesnt make you a better person. Jordan is a bitch just like Kim Kardashian is a ho and Rush Limbaugh is an asshole.
I may not be earning $20 million a year but I still have the ability to recognize someone poorly handling themselves. I'm a small business owner with a dozen employees. I started my business when I was 24, two years younger than Jordan and Ive never once treated any one of my vendors, suppliers or employees in a manner how Jordan did in regards to his dealings with Dallas. He came out looking awful in all of this.

Nothing would be better than seeing the commissioner veto Jordan's decision and send his ass to Dallas.
We can even create a show "Band of Brother: Ball Edition" and see the interactions between Cuban and Jordan all season long.

Can't wait to see Deandre not travel with the team to the Mavs' game for "severe flu-like symptoms".

Its funny how he's acting like he can just ghost Cuban forever. Dude is straight ducking like some little kid in trouble with his parents when all he had to do was pickup the phone and make a call. That would have been respectable at least.

right off the bat he loses half on federal taxes, then his agent gets a cut, then Cali and all the other states he will play in that have income taxes will get their cut, then his money mangers get their cut, then his hangers on will spend his cash b/c he apparently does whatever the person in front of him tells him to do and 5 years after he is out of the L he'll be bankrupt.

Good response regarding a shitty franchise and a shitty player. Very genuine of him to offer Wes an out too.. Cuban handled this well considering how pissed he would be.

If The Association was still airing, the Clippers would have been a perfect candidate for it this year.

Cuban really needs to take the high road on this situation.
Anyone ask about DJ, have very generic answers to avoid getting this situation brought up every day.
Like
It was DJ's right to choose and he choose where he was comfortable.
We are past this as we are looking a head to build our team.
No hard feelings, we gave it our best shot.
Any other way he does it that bashes DJ will hurt his ability to attract future FAs.

only the kind of FA who think its cool to ignore a team they committed to so they could sign elsewhere at the 11th hour.
I cant even imagine the shit storm from the NBAPA had the situation been reversed w/a team pulling this on a player.

cuban tried to backpedal and tell wes, you know, since we gonna suck, no point coming here and me overpaying for your services, which i only did so that i can entice Dj to come here

I noticed that too! Cuban really doesn't want to pay 55-60 million when he wants to save capspace and tank again.

DJ is actually a pretty intelligent guy.
It was a bitch move, but being bitter isn't a good look. He absolutely should have handled it differently, but he's a human being and had a change of heart.
It happens...and it's just more evidence that they best way to attract players in free agency is to build good teams.
Not pin your hopes on a male model with a black card...

So that means Donald Trump, Donald Sterling and Mark Cuban are better than you and your entire shitty ancestry? Hell that means they are better than any NBA player in history too, including Michael Jordan.

the fact is, he should have at least the decency and respect to at least communicate with cuban to tell him he won't be signing with him. he's ducking cuban like mayweather and pacquaio in their primes.
