It's funny how your brain works early in the morning. You actually rationalize that the extra 5-10 minutes is gonna make a world of difference.

Back in college I would set my alarm 1.5 hours before class and do snooze alarms for over an hour :facepalm

I'm pretty good at jumping out of bed at the first ring now.

Back in HS my body would wake up before the alarm by like 5 minutes

I agree but feels too good and I cant resist. I struggle getting up sometimes and that five minute snooze going off again puts a panic in me to get up.

You must put the alarm far enough away that it requires you to get up & walk across the room to turn it off.

I tried all the tricks back in the day. I also had multiple alarms. The problem was, I would get up, grab the alarm and bring it back to bed with me to put it on snooze. The only thing that worked was adjusting to not having enough time for a snooze alarm.

what cracks me up or at least how i crack myself up is the math you do in a half awake stupor..

hit snooze. goes off again and you start doing "ok it takes 5 minutes to wash my face brush teeth etc etc etc another 10 to get dressed and grab coffee and i have to leave at 8 so that means i can hit the snooze button x more times at nine minutes per snooze"
