That would be pathetic.
Would make his whole "I Want To Come Back Home" speech fake.
But then again, we all already know what kind of person this guy is.

If he really wanted to play for Cleveland; he would have signed a long-term deal. But it's clear why he came back. Not because it's his home-town but because the team had acquired a shit load of talent and had the money to get someone like Love as well.

He's such a glory hunter.

Really? Praytell, why didn't Carmelo Anthony try to go to the Cavs last year then? Why didn't Bosh or Wade attempt to go to the Cavs then?

Surely if this Cavs team was stacked full of talent like you claim, surely some other Free Agent would have saw this and knock down the Cavs door in order to play on a team with a "shit load of talent"...

He has a player option so he can opt out if he wants to and maybe make more money.

TT will sign. The Cavs offered him about 80 million and nobody is trying to steal him away. Just a matter of dollars. Cant be mad at a young guy for maximizing his dollars.

True, I would do the same, but he isnt worth that money on open market, unless a team like NY overpays for him. Cavs need him and I think TT probably needs them

He will be off the books next year or at max the year after so they can sign a free agent to improve the team.
He is a beta so cavs can sign some alpha player instead of him. Isn't this good for the cavs by your logic?

this whole glory hunter thing isnt new

everyone wants to win and had there own "im leaving" periods, even kobe. the only difference is lebron takes it to the next level, ring hopping.

only reason he went back to cleveland was because of the talent, thats it. Hes playing it smart which is good for him but nobody should really be questioning whether he wants to commit to cleveland or not, he doesn't. He wants to win a ring with talent, thats it. He left Cleveland for miami after giving them 7-8 yrs, then miami for a 4 years or so, now back to cleveland. lol never heard of a superstar do that in there peak/prime

ya. i remember when KG won as many rings as kobe when he was on the wolves.
Anyone would tell you that KG was as good a player as kobe till 2005 at least. Most would say that he was a little better than kobe till 2005.

Also, why didn't bosh have a meeting with the cavs when he was a free agent or carmelo?
Carmelo went to bulls but never went to the cavs. If cavs were so loaded with talent then why didn't more free agents have interest in signing with the cavs?

and that is what i am saying. Cavs are lucky that they will not sign a beta for a long contract.
I like to help people so i would like to give you an advice. You are clearly very gifted at judging NBA players so just go and be an NBA GM. You could be saying stuff like you do on this forum but you will get paid a lot.

As a matter of fact, you can get a job right now by stopping the cavs from signing lebron. LeBron hasn't signed the contract yet. Griffin will be out and you will make all that quicken loans money from Dan by saving him from signing a beta.

I don't understand this Tristan Thompson thing. Why is he turning down $80 million deals? I know he and Lebron are boys, but this is getting awkward.

Lebron needs to meet with him at the poor and explain to him "Son. You're a 7th man. $20mil/yr is outrageously high and this team has the highest payroll in NBA history without you. Settle down."

From what I understand, the thing holding back both sides from getting the deal signed is a disagreement about the fine print, not necessarily the amount. Tristan's agent wants the contract to be guaranteed and the Cavs want to make some of it incentive based.

Remember, Rich Paul is the same agent who represented Eric Bledsoe last summer and that negotiation went all the way into September before a contract was finally signed.

I do feel like TT is on the verge of hurting his previously sterling reputation amongst Cavs fans and the organization. Bottom line, the Cavs are offering him more than any organization in the league would and it feels like he is taking advantage of the Cavs based on his friendship and connections with LeBron.

Sign the damn thing.
