For the gym, school, work or whatever it may be. What do you do small or big to keep focus on the end-goal?

I get naked and slather peanut butter all over myself and yell at my reflection in the mirror. Seems to do the trick. :pimp:

Knowing that one day I'll be old and die alone. When that day comes, I want to have no regrets and know I did my best.

Hmmm I like this.

When I really connect to others, it seems to motivate everything else.

Associate with people who have achieved or are striving to achieve whatever my goals are. This is true whether it be fitness, education, career etc. Find someone similar to you or someone already there and push each other.

Cut the dead weight loose.

Yep. Surrounding yourself with admirable people is an easy way to strive for self-improvement. People are naturally competitive and will want to measure up to their peers.

Also, job stability and compensation are two obvious work motivations.
