Somebody asked me to go to a seminar to join Amway. Technically, they didn't tell me any details (shady almost) until I went to the seminar. I still had no idea it was for Amway until I sat through 30 minutes into the seminar with the host talking about businesses & how to grow a business. One thing I remember is him saying "What if I told you that there may be a way you can make $50,000 extra spending money every year with only a few hours of work per week? No degree or school required at all! All you need is $250 to sign up & begin. Would you believe me?" Then a slide comes up with Amway logo and he goes "THERE IS A WAY!"
At the end, there were like 10 people that came up talking about how rich they became within 2-3 years. One guy was like "I bought a brand new Mercedes last year all paid off" other guy was like "I pocket $1 million dollars every year! You can too if you're positive and work hard!"
The guy that invited me gave me this folder after the seminar with all the things discussed in seminar. I knew what it was, but still looked through it. Next day, I told him I'm not interested, and he is like "Mail the folder back to me then" :lol
Was I right in turning it down? I feel like unless if you started early or can recruit tons of people that will also succeed, it is NOT worthwhile. And good luck selling very expensive products CONSISTENTLY! That is what I feel. You can work hard & be positive all you want, but people will only buy what they can afford. Is that not reasonable?
