View Full Version : You guys really think Amare Ought-To-Retire is going to help the Heat?

Am I missing something here? What is so promising about signing a guy who's legs are older than Bill Russell?

Heat building a roster with the least amount of cartilage in NBA history.

He's not a bad piece off the bench, obviously you didn't watch him on the mavs or coming off the bench in ny in his last stint after injury there..
Still has a solid jumper and can get easy baskets..
I guess you were too busy watching the heat, I mean cavs:lol

Heat are I think 4th oldest team in the league or something like that. Their whole roster is prone to injury.

Amare is just a name at this point. He'll have a few good games where he scores well and then he'll not be able ccontribute in a lot more. Miami's starting lineup (again, if healthy) is more concerning than what their bench will bring.

He has a spot coming in for 10 or 15 minutes and giving you some offense. For vet min it's not bad at all. Any team in the league would take Amare for vet min.

Heat arent gonnabe relevent either way. Might as well bring in a name to try to help with ticket sales.

Hows his defense?

Awful, but he brings instant offense from the bench. He abused backup PFs when he played with the Mavs.

Hows his defense?

About as good as Kevin Love's or Kyrie Irving's.

He's an older version of Beasley which is why Amare also won't get playing time - all offense and no defense.

Still, I'm going to play the Heat in this year's 2K.

i wanna attend the heat seder dinner

bosh is the wise child
dragic is the silent child
wade is the foolish child
whiteside is the wicked child

"what is this TEAM of YOURS?" he asked before taking uppers and gratifying himself in a public san fran park

then amare hides the matzoh in the oven and burns it to dust

He's still a very good offensive player worth 10-15 minutes a night to give you a scoring punch off the bench. Any team should be happy tp have him now that you don't have to pay 20+ mil for his services.

Nowadays he's Greg Monroe who can only give you 20 minutes a game. Honestly he might be player than Monroe for the 20 minutes he plays. Great offensive game, solid rebounding, nice passer and no defense.

Amare can still get you buckets. A decent pickup if he's coming off the bench.

About as good as Kevin Love's or Kyrie Irving's.
