look at the list of top 10 and top 20 scorers in the league. 8 out of the top ten players are western conference players, and in the top 20, 13 are.

The reason is because you have a better chance to get through the West's super teams with your own super team than getting through the East's one super team with your mediocre team.

That's why only one or two players went to the East this year. Most would rather face LeBeta in the Finals than get bounced in the ECF since they'd have better players around them.
