Excited to see Upshaw and Russel and Clarkson especially. Clarkson literally looks on another level than everyone else. He will have a great season barring any bad injuries.

Clarkson is emerging. However, I need to see more. It's that simple. Last year he got some shine on a horrible Lakers squad. This year is going to be different. Kobe is coming back into the lineup, and now teams know what to expect from Clarkson to somewhat game plan for him. I've seen guys get exposed in their second year and their productivity drops dramatically. Hopefully, the same doesn't happen to Clarkson. I like his game. Offensively, he looks like a Westbrook-lite.

Apparently he took 1 week off basketball and couldn't help but come back and start practicing early. He's a gym rat and he's got the athleticism to match. I think he'll have a great 2nd year.

People compare him to MCW because he put up good stats on a shit team but Clarkson actually was far more efficient in his numbers. FAR more.

Clarkson was a G last year, anyone who thinks he is going to be exposed is an idiot. he's going to be a 15/5/5 player on good efficiency at the worst.

Since there is no Chi-Min thread. Damn KAT looks like he is going to be awesome! Bobby Portis looks like he is going to be a solid NBA player too. At least when Towns isn't schooling him.

Trade Russel and Randle for DeMarcus while we have the chance.

Russel looking like a straight up bust. If you don't have the explosiveness of Top PGs you better make it up with elite shooting and an array of offensive moves to get you open and become a threat - this in turns opens up your elite passing (that the kid has). Kid lacks both but has the potential. Not gonna flip a coin and wait for that to happen with 0 guarantee --- NOT when we can get a guaranteed all-star Center in DeMarcus. Waiting for a Nash/Curry type bloomer will take A LOT of years.

Clarkson has elite athleticism while his shooting continues to improve and so will his ball distribution and defense - Kobe/Westbrook lite. That's the youngling we should keep developing.

Although I haven't been that impressed with D'Angelo Russell, I think it's too early to tell how good he will become. So far, the brightest star for the Lakers has been Clarkson followed by Randle. Nance Jr. is also looking pretty good.

Jahlil Okafor looking pretty good. 11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 assist at the half. He needs to work on he's free throw shooting and shooting in general. However, so far he's looked good.

Yeah he is starting to settle into his role. But then again he has had a little more time to adjust being that he played in the Utah SL. He's gonna be good.

That's the youngling we should keep developing.I think acquiring a top talent in DMC who's on a great contract is very smart, as long as Vlade is willing to deal Cousins. However, why not play JC and Russell together? Let Clarkson defend the other PGs and provide the initial penetration, with Russell as the release valve on the perimeter. Russell can shoot it off the catch or find somebody to set them up.

It's SL after all and the guy graduated HS a year ago. Give the kid time to grow if you don't trade him for a superstar haha. Either way, I'm excited to see this young core play together, assuming none get traded.

For a guy praised for his passing ability, D'Angelo Russell only has 2 assist with only 4mins left in the game. Not only that, but he's shooting 4-13. However, it is only Summer League.

edit: Add 1 assist to that. :D

Time to call Divac before he gets more exposed on the floor. Keep Russel and Randle on the bench and make the ****ing deal for DeMarcus.
