going up or down without monta ellis?
i think that parsons will get a much bigger role and shooting the ball 22-24 times. Parsons was with Cuban watching the SL team. He seems to be a sort of a GM as well:lol
I say: Dirk 16ppg on 44-45%, 6 reb a game.
Parsons: 22 ppg on 47 %, 4 ass 5 reb

16/5/2 seems about right to me.
All depends on how many minutes he plays.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say 19/7/2, I think he can still put it, and with those open opportunities without Monta, he'll probably can. And will. Go dirk

nah, last year he walked like a zombie over the field if he played like 30 minutes =D. watching his jumpshot was sad...., he had problems jumping higher than 2cm over the ground :( :(
kobe is able to put up like 25 ppg in his age, but not dirk.

Based on what? Kobe has barely played these past two seasons and when he has Dirk clearly had him beat in terms of stats/impact.

kobe has these nikka genetics (no racism) allowing him to have a healthy and athletic body (not talking about his injuries). combining this with the will and ambition to train your body in a professional way like kobe did and is doing.... you are able to preserve your athleticism until an great age.
kobe still has the body to score like 23-25ppg in his age. dirk simply cant. kobe can still play 35- 40 minutes over a long periode of games. dirk cant or at least will have heavily problems

You're basing your argument on the fact you think he has the perfect body because he's black = great genetics. On the other hand he has had lingering injuries these past years which may be a sign that his time is done :(
Again, Dirk has proven he can still be an effective player at his age while Kobe hasn't(even when he was healthy. And the whole training thing is pretty lulzy as dirk is known to be a gym rat as well. :confusedshrug:

Quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever read here and that says a lot since I've been here since 2001.

Parsons scoring 22 per?
Never does Dirk shoot that low, especially on low volume.

Parsons scoring 22 per?
why is this so funny? im def. not a parsons fan and i also think that he is right now not worth his contract, especially because he cant create for himself and wasnt the focus of the enemies defense right now...but this will change completly this season. cuban and carlise will give him a much more important role. he will have the ball in his hands.
so shooting around 22-24 times a game.....scoring like 22 pts isnt achievable? :biggums:
Parsons shooting 22-24 times a game would be a Greek tragedy.
Or perhaps a comedy depending on your vantage point.

Think he will still be a 20ppg game guy considering his game doesn't revolve around athleticism. His 3pt pump fake is still one of the best.

46% FG for his career in the playoffs
46% FG for his career in the playoffs
1. Playoffs are more difficult
2. I believe his volume is around 25+ PPG in the playoffs
3. That is still higher than 44-45%

Same stats. He's been declining in the last few years.

That depends on whether Carlisle gives him more iso spots without Ellis and whether Deron will prefer to run the PnR with Dirk. Since Nowitzki struggled with some injuries in December to January, it's also very much possible that he will have a better season.
In any case, Dirk is still by far the best shot maker, if not the best scorer on the team - possibly to the detriment of the Mavs. Ah, well.

Dirk is done.
15-5-2 would be nice. He should be coming off the bench though.

Yea.
Hey, at least you should be happy we aren't tanking. The roster isn't great, but if we manage to add another center....it's not a terrible roster and winning in the mid 40's is certainly possible.
Seraphin would be a really nice and logical roster addition. I like him. I think he could continue to develop into a very solid backup center for like 20 minutes a game on a contending team. I think signing him to a 4 year deal would actually be a good signing for this team and we should take advantage of the fact that he's slipped through the cracks and getting a player like that now is way better than trying to get a player like that next summer or after.

I'll predict this, Dirk will average more PPG than Chandler Parsons.

never. parsons will play much more minutes than dirk and also have more FGA. so no.
im pretty sure that carlise and cuban will give parsons free rein to do everything on the field.
saying that, parsons is happy that ellis got traded. the ball will get through parsons hands. book it
