Who would have thought that Sacramento would have this much of an entertaining offseason

Sad to see Bargs go he was the Knicks clear 2nd best player these past couple of years. Yeah he had some flaws but he is still a nice player if he's signed on a reasonable contract

In all seriousness I agree, I don't think he's as terrible as people make out if used in the right situation for the right price. The problems he's had are that he's been paid like a top level starter when he's more of a mismatch bench player.

Anyway, if true, guess it's kind of a relief? Now Kings can target Psycho T!!!!

There are no more stretch bigs left in FAcy, right? I was hoping Kings would get Teletovic...

This is our replacement for Mirza? Oh god...

Oh please. He's garbage. He doesn't shoot as well as advertised, and if he gets a hangnail he sits for a month. He doesn't like playing basketball that much, if there's anything wrong, he's not going to play. Now that he's off the Knicks it's "he was kind of a solid player".

My favorite Bargs moment, him (after Phil telling him he'd get a big chance to play with Melo hurt) telling the Knicks he felt "leg weakness" and then sitting another month. :facepalm

15/4 on 45/37/81 with a block and a PER of 17 Stop the hate just because of the stigma around him. At the the vet min he is an absolute steal.

:lol Nets have had a God awful Offseason. They signed Lopez, Young and now Bargs:roll: one hell of a trio to have as your core:roll:

He took less money fron the nets compared to what he was offered by the kings. Kings can't even get bargs after offering more money than nets.

It is a vet minimum deal so it is not bad. He is bad but not too bad for vet minimum.

Another thing, the Knicks-Nets games this year are gonna be VICIOUS.

I hated our offseason and want King fired, but signing a 29 year old, oft injured player at the veteran's minimum and most likely will not start unless injury to key players does not means that he's part of our "core".

I loved how Italy's national team was an absolute joke.......even going down to the second division of Europe when he was playing for them, like we are talking where teams like Monaco, Lichtenstein, Wales, etc. play........

Then he stopped playing for them, and right away they started to become one of the best European teams again.

It's A VC3!!!

What I really love to be honest is year after year players are taking less to join the Nets. We haven't seen that with the Knicks as players would much rather play with the Nets than with the Knicks.

Also, I think Bargnani is a scrub but it's such a low risk move. We are paying him the vet min. There is absolutely no downside to this signing. Nets will still be mediocre though. Oh well.

This is your takeaway from your offseason that you paid Deron $27M to go away so he could sign with Dallas? that you sign Bargnani after we throw him in the trash bin? Do you have an actual real example of this? Who did you pay less? Bargs?

Haha, I just remembered the Knicks don't have a first round pick this year because of the Bargs trade

I'd rather have Jerome Jordan. At least he would get a few blocks here and there

People are still paying this guy to play basketball?

Do these GM's even watch games? Or they just handing out contracts because this guy is a former #1 pick? :oldlol:

Great, now the Nets fans can enjoy watching two bigs sit out for a majority of the season.

The Nets right now have no traditional bigs backing up Brook Lopez.

All talent aside, the kid has zero hunger and is busted mentally. You really want a player like this?

I did not think he was worth a first round, but I was willing to see if he would try to turn his value around in NYC. He was a terrible disappointment.

Not many teams have traditional bigs backing up centers nowadays
