I still haven't heard anything.
I believe that the Thunder have 72 hours from the time Enes signed the Blazers offer-sheet to match.
72 hours is up.
No word from OKC.
Am I missing something or is this normal?
maybe announced soon?

maybe announced soon? It's 72 hours from the time OKC receives the offer sheet, so they have a little more time I think. Looks like OKC will take it down to the wire, though, to tie up Portland's cap space for as long as they can.

Win-win for Portland either way.
If OKC matches then it just hurts their cap space and flexibility moving forward. Always good to handcuff a divisional rival.
If OKC does not match, Portland gains another talented big man that they can develop with Lillard or trade at the deadline. Talented big men are a hot commodity.
But I'm just wondering why we haven't heard anything from OKC yet? -Makes me think they won't match

Ok that makes more sense!
I'm anxious to see what happens.
I liked Enes coming out of college despite the fact he didn't play a second. Also was kinda pissed when he was on the trading block last year and Portland didn't make a move, and OKC got him for scraps.

I've heard that okc has matched it from Aldridge, but I only trust the Woj.

Nothing has been confirmed.
All signs point to, as they always have, OKC matching the offer in order to keep Kanter.
But it is not official. Still anxious to see.
Expecting OKC to match, hoping they dont.
Talk about waiting til the last minute tho

What are the benefits of waiting til the last second?
Just to hold up Portland? Stop them from pursuing other free-agents?
It seems like if I were OKC I would have matched within 24 hours to show Kanter we want him and so we (okc) as a franchise can move on with our off-season. This process holds them up too.

In your head that makes sense. Here in reality it doesn't.
