Hey, I was wondering if anyone uses apps for listening to fast speeds. Instead of listening to one podcast in 1hr, I can go through 2 in same time and get more out of it.

I looked online through Google play to see what is out there but no luck.. I like how youtube and udemy do it.. saves tons of time

It should be standard in nearly any podcast app you get I would imagine.

I use Doggcatcher which has it. I know Podkicker does too, I don't see why other apps wouldn't.

Never did that... Might be a good idea. Just put Life of Caesar on double speed.. They aren't saying much anyway

Why the f*ck would you do that?

-save time
-learn more in same time

So every podcast sounds like the chipmunks?

It's also harder to pick up if the subject is meaningful... I actually see little value in this, unless it's a test and you're revising. No point to listen to enterntainment like JRE in double speed because it counters it's purpose, no point in listening to philosophy or history programs as well because it's difficult.

I prefer it at normal speed or 1.2. Anything faster defeats my purpose of even listening. To just sit back and have time engaging in what is actually being said.

It depends on the person that is talking. Some speak slower than others while others are much more clearer than others. It is not for every person doing the talking

I usually fast forward TV series and movies to 1.1 or 1.2.

Podcasts...depends on how fast the people are talking. Not double speed though. I want the balance of them speaking as fast as possible while still understanding all of what's being said.

What do you use for tv shows and movies?

Sometimes it does come in handy. Some people I listen to talk slowly, like real slow, so speeding it up by 1.2-1.5ish is usually just fine, and can cut 1+ hours off a 2-3 hour podcast easy. I don't always use it, but it does come in handy.

A lot of podcast apps have it. PlayerFM is what I currently use and they have it integrated seamlessly. Pocket Casts, Doggcatcher, Beyond Pod, all have it too pretty sure.
