Has to be some bullshit.

He wasnt just rich like an NBA player is "rich."

Fiddy was stankin rich. Like he had ownership stakes in lucrative ventures beyond just his very lucrative music career. He was worth a shitload at one point.

And hes actually a savvy businessman who executed a real plan to become rich in the music biz, again not like some athlete who lucked his way into a sports career or a rapper who was handpicked by a record company to fill a minstrel buffoonery niche. Every investor makes mistakes as Im sure 50 has but hes no fool. He had too much money to legitimately be broke right now.

Hes obviously just taking advantage of a loophole in the system. Its "unpossible" that hes actually broke.

Most likely he has off-shore accounts that hold most of his money (if not nearly all of it). He most likely filed to settle his US-based debts.

This. He's trying to restructure all of his business interests, and there's a lot (Vitamin water, SMS audio, Boxing promotion company, his film interests, etc.). Pretty telling that he went with chapter 11 instead of 7. He's very far from 'broke'.

Something like this. Or at least that makes the most sense.

It is possible though that he has far too many non liquid assets that it is hard to pay off debt. From my understanding he never had 400 million cash from vitamin water. Same idea as dre never having a billion.

Not surprised most idiots didnt read the article. He banked around 60-100 mil from vitamin water.

Twist ch 11 filing is different than ch 7. 50 cent has the right to continue al his business , hes just trying to "reorganize" it mostly i think to avoid major taxes.

Donald Trump's corporations have filed for bankruptcy four times. This is a business move more than anything.

"Rapper 50 Cent"

7 albums from 2000-2015, one of the most recognizable rappers in the game, known world wide for his music, some of his albums going platinum multiple times...and you're mad that he is labelled a rapper?

Dude that's what he is known for, what brought him success. That's like being angry at someone calling Michael Jordan a basketball player...

I think everyone realizes what this means. Hes taking advantage of a finance law practice with a very misleading name (bankruptcy).

I'm not mad. It's funny because it's unnecessary to say that he's a rapper.

I think it was just his audio company SMS that filed for bankruptcy, not Curtis himself.

So now this millionare gets to legally not pay debts and increase his overall net worth by declaring bankruptcy? Something seems wrong about this.

Thanks obama

Financial rescue package for 50 is actually a backdoor bailout for Eminem

There are a few points to be made. 1. This delays the time he is required to pay the 5 million, which screws over the girl due to inflation and the fact she currently out of 5 million. 2. He has more debt than liquid assets, but that's obvious as he's very involved in business at this point in his life and probably had debt of around 50 million through all of them combined. That doesn't mean he's broke however, he probably has 200+ million in assets with most being unliquidated. 5 million right now would probably be a pretty big hit on his liquidated finance and he doesn't want to sell off his shares in an investment without seeing which are the most expendable first. And I shouldn't say he, this is his legal team and financial advisors obviously.

And he just lost a lawsuit if I am not mistaken. Smells pretty suspicious if you ask me.
