vertically. Good touch on jumper, nice use of bank.

arm shooters tire as the game goes on, if you lose your legs in extended minutes you can rely on your arms or launch a little deeper off the shoulder but not if you're starting the game that way.

Long arms that aid in finishing and completing passes. Quick athlete that gets in lane. Good vision. Solid defender. Recognizes teammates and open lanes.

Cons
one one speed, inconsistent shooter, only a driver and occasion shooter at his point. Gets tunnel vision sometimes. Not great at anything.

I wouldn't really say he's an arm shooter. That's a weird way to put it. But we've seen players who don't jump much on their shot be great shooters and 4th quarter players. pierce, dirk, gasol, etc.

Pros
Smooth powerful athlete, knows where he is going at all times. Never out control driving towards the hoops. very shift and dribbles low. can makes passes out of know here. good half court and full court floor general. takes contact and finishes.

Cons: broken three point jumper, very inconsistent mid range. No floater. Trys to make wild passes sometimes. Poor free throw shooter.

i don't mean melo's attitude, he seems like an ok guy i mean having melo dribble for 17 out of 24 seconds. jerian grant is a nice surprise. i don't mean that i didn't think that he would be good, i mean more that the knicks drafted him. they are starting to scare me by making solid signings like o'quinn and drafting well. almost seems like they might know what they are doing.

i had high hopes for russell but there isn't much to like from what i've seen. i attend like 100 high level aau games a season and he doesn't look like the kind of athletes I usually see. I know skills > athleticism from a pure basketball standpoint but when you can't blow by summer league guys it is not a real good sign.
