One would think that with all the new advancements in sports and technology, athletes would be superior to those in 80's and 90's. The 90's had Shaq, Jordan, Barkley, Bird, Magic, Stockton, Ewing, Malone, Pippen, Hakeem, Drob.... these guys played for the love of the game and not just the money. They played harder, more physical, and practices were more intense.

So why do the best players of today fall short in many respects compared to players in the past? Seems like the game has evolved into nothing more than collusion, money, and flopping. Simply put, were are left with an inferior product.

Evolution of the game. It's a business and when things become business...they get political.

I'm sure the 60's NBA players had a gripe when 80's players were getting 1-2 million a year compared to the 70-80,000 a year they made.
90's players complained when 2000's players were being paid 5-6 million a year average compared to the 2-3 million.

Players care more about jumpers and 3pt shots today. The League is still as good as it has ever been. Stop being in denial and living in the past.

Players from back then are literally crying because they're not in the league right now to make a shit ton of money.

I can list players as well. Players who were NEVER in their primes at the same time, but were in the league. Shaq, Kobe, LeBron, Duncan, Wade, KG, Dirk, Iverson, Nash, Pierce, Kidd, Melo, VC, Allen, etc..

FOH with your retarded logic. Dumb****.

You sound insecure about the inferior product of today. Denial? As if I would prefer the current game to be a shell of its former self? If anything i would prefer that it was better. Sorry, but the eye test doesn't lie. I know an inferior product when I see it. Stop trying to downplay the truth.

You're the one who's insecure, TBH. Creating an account and posting ~3k time over the past 2 years about an "inferior product"? Beta and insecure AF. Whatever makes you happy though.

Also Lebron didn't play in the 90's. Run along now.
And? WTF does that have to do with anything, Cletus?

Physicality is because of reffeing, the other two I not sure. I like basketball today. Durant, davis, Westbrook, curry, Lebron, harden,Kyrie., paul. Are all stars I respect for their strengths but they Also have flaws like past stars who I think are on similiar level to some of the stars I listed.

Gotta roll with what you are given. Doesn't make it any less inferior. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just holding the L because the truth hurts.

We all know a Jordan less league is vastly inferior, but that is just the tip of the iceberg.

At least the best players of today aren't quitting in the middle of their peak to go play baseball to apprehend their fathers murder caused by their own gambling debts.

Not that the best players can afford to do so... MJ's team almost won the championship without him

LeBron and KD go missing and their team isnt in the playoffs. :lol

Just goes to show how much better individual players are today.

Yes, you are in denial, which is only one step up from an apologist. You are refuting that the product of today is not inferior to the product in the 90's. There's a reason why when Jordan stopped playing, ratings went down each subsequent year. All the apologists try to attribute the lower ratings to people watching games on the internet, but that is just a sob story excuse... as if the advancements were that great between 1996 and 2000.

When Jordan was playing in 96 rating was 5.0
In 2000, it was a 3.3
2015? Rating is 2.2

Reason? Inferior product. It is what it is.

So your rebuttal is a mention of players like LeBron who is a laughable 2/6 and KD, who is ring-less? Um... no...

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

Jordan quit because he shitted on the entire league and was bored.
