Has been the most impressive part about his game so far. Dude is well disciplined on covering the lanes/paint, switching around and providing help but at the same time can recover back to his man and can easily average 3 blocks by default. He isnt strong but he also doesnt back down from that weakness and can take a pounding, very cerebral as he knows how to adjust during the game

His scoring will come to him eventually

He should get good minutes just as a defensive big next year

Long term yes but in the short term NBA bigs will push him around

He is a little thin, but I have noticed he is really good about staying on his feet, not fouling, and contesting/blocking shots.

He is patient on defense and has good instincts.

I actually think he should be a pretty good pro

I don't even want him to put on too much weight.

The most he should put on is 30 pounds MAX and even that is a bit too much.

I think this will change. He's been very conservative. Has he even attempted a 3 yet? I don't remember it. I'm impressed with his maturity. I hope it translates for 80 games.

He was making Okafor his bitch at times. Didn't even need to leave his feet to block that fatass.

Looked good today. I saw the whole game.

Only negatives were the fouls. His playing time was sporadic which probably didn't allow him to get into any kind of rhythm. Didn't show signs of fatigue either even tho I think this was the most minutes he's played thus far.

It still seemed like he wasn't given too many touches on offense.

Holy ****, 7 fouls in 23 minutes :biggums:

I do think he'll end up being good though. Needs to gain some muscle though

I wish we had Ewing as the coach or on the coaching staff.

Dude is going to learn his post moves from Kurt Rambis.

Anyone who weighs more than Porzingis's 110 pounds

not many skilled big men that can actually take advantage of his lack of strength, not too worried he just held his own against the biggest threat in the coming years in Okafor. Not to mention he will mostly be guarding other stretch 4's and he has good mobility so not worried there either. ROLO and Zinger guarding the paint is gonna be hell for the opposition.

I am impressed. The Knicks got one hell of a pick. If it weren't for Jim Buss they would've taken D'Angelo Russell

he will need some time to get stronger because he's sometimes getting pushed around too easy .. but other than that there's something to look forward

Sure he'll get pushed around for a couple years by guys with a lot of muscle AND a physical game (so basically... Zbo and maybe 3 other guys) but:

EVERY rookie gets pushed around physically for the most part, excluding LeBron
and he's going to play 3/4 anyway. He will have anywhere from 3-6" on his cover, which will slightly make up for the lack of strength.

I watched one game of this guy in SL, and I think this guy will be good. Underrated pick by the Zen Master.

definitely a project to develop as far as his all star ceiling but i think he can contribute some meaningful minutes next year. Grant as a kicker was savvy af.

If anything excessive fouling in the summer league tends to be a sign of activity level.

They don't usually translate into constant foul trouble in the NBA.

Porzingis is looking solid defensively so far. For now he should focus on defense, pick and pop, and pick and roll… he could be above average at all those. The rest may or may not come, but those skills at least will guarantee that he's useful in the league.

I'm a fan

I can see him averaging pedestrian numbers his first season, 12/6. but with a surprising 1.5 blocks a game. And in a couple seasons, when his body fills out... watch out league

When I first saw Vucevic at USC, I have hard time believing that he will be an NBA player much more productive player. He was so skinny and all he does was shooting 3 pointers. If this guys works hard, with his length and athleticism, he can be a handful downlow.

He really looks like he can be an allstar one day in today's league. He's got a jumper with quick release, size, good man-defense, and already understands the power of setting moving screens! :oldlol:

Btw, it still freaks me out when i see Okafor's 10 inch vertical. Wtf man...
