05 Manu by far is 1st. He was the Spurs best player all playoffs and finals, played great perimeter D, sht on Denver, outplayed MVP Nash, outplayed peak Ray Allen, butchered Detroits historic D in the finals etc. Incredible postseason, one for the ages

2nd is 2012 Wade top 10 player elite on both ends

3rd is 2000 Kobe. One of the best perimeter defenders in the game but offense was inconsistent

4th is 10 Pau did his job, top 20 player arguably

07 Manu was the 2nd option even tho Parker won FMVP

Manu was better than Tony every season of their career except 09 (injured), 12 and 13

Playoffs

Wade = 23/5/4/2 on 46% FG 53% TS

Kobe = 21/5/4/2/2 on 44% FG 52% TS

Ginobili = 21/6/4/1 on 51% FG 65% TS

Pau = 20/11/3/2 on 54% FG 60% TS

Parker = 21/3/6 on 48% FG 52% TS

Kobe was insanely clutch all through that 2000 run, from the game winner against phoenix to the game 7 in the WCF where a 21 year old Kobe outscored, out rebounded, out assisted and had more blocks and steals than a guy who a lot of people say was the MDE in his most dominant year.. also had that incredible game 4 of the finals where he carried the lakers through overtime with the big cactus fouled out

2b. 2012 Wade
3a. 2000 Kobe
3b. 2007 Parker

People forget how good manu was while shooting really well from 3 point range in 2005.

Manu was not the best player all playoffs or Finals - Duncan was - especially when factoring defense.

2005 Finals
Duncan 20.6 pts / 14.1 rebs / 2.1 asst / 2.1 blks
Manu 18.7 pts / 5.9 rebs / 4 asst / 1.3 stl

2005 Playoffs
Duncan 23.6 pts / 12.4 rebs / 2.7 asst / 2.3 blks
Manu 20.8 pts / 5.8 rebs / 4.2 asst / 1.2 stl

Manu was not 2nd option - neither regular season or playoffs

2006-07 regular season
Duncan 20 pts / 10.6 rebs / 3.4 asst / 2.4 blks
Parker 18.6 pts / 5.5 asst
Manu 16.5 pts / 3.5 asst

2007 playoffs
Duncan 22.2 pts / 11.5 rebs / 3.3 asst / 3.1 blks
Parker 20.8 pts / 5.8 assts
Manu 16.7 pts / 3.7 assts

2010 Gasol - essential to Lakers winning
2005 Manu - essential to Spurs winning
2012 Wade
2007 Parker - Spurs would have won without Parker once Lebron was contained
2000 Kobe - could have been replaced by almost any good wing - Shaq was so dominant.

No point in arguing about Duncan like that anymore. What you just said has been said a million times and no one gets it. He was probably the best player in basketball in 05 and was top 3 in 07. Yet he was a role player those years to some.

Im gonna base mine on ability, and you can really interchange all except Parker who was clearly the worst.

1A)2012 Wade (stats slightly deflated by the first round stomp where Wade wasn't needed to do much, took over vs Indiana, super consistent vs Boston and Thunder)
1B)2000 Kobe (if not for the injury in the finals he would of been at about 23/6/5 with elite defense, capable of carrying offense in 4th quarters)
3) 2010 Gasol (20/11/2 big who mashed perfectly with Kobe)
4) 2005 Manu - good numbers all around, very efficient, took over vs Detroit
5) 2007 Parker- clearly the worst in the group.
