I'm expecting Vucevic's % to increase more this year if he spends more time on the court with some other reliable shooting options, his usage rate will go down but his overall efficient should go up.

No wonder the NBA is all about the 3. If you shoot 40% from 3, you need to shoot 60% from 2 to score the same amount of points. Mathematically, you can see why the NBA is anti midrange.

It's the game using analytics to figure out what are the best shots to take. And in some respects, Houston has it right. Shoot the 3 or right at the basket.

this is fine, but now if you were to remove the 3-point line, everyone would suck

The players would adjust and we would see more well rounded players and not the specialized shooters or stretch bigs or 3 and D guys. Players adjust their game according to the rules.

True, but it's easier to become 3-and-D than acquire mid-range shooting touch, skill and moves.. That takes longer to develop.

You are transforming Mike Dunleavy into Kobe

It is IMPOSSIBLE to predict how 3 and D players would play like if the 3 point line did not exist

The NBA still has the same amount of skilled, mid range shooting, players that it has always had. They just don't get as much shine as in the 80's and 90's because of the rules today.

Probably. It's easier to specialize in 1 or 2 things than be very good at many things in bball. But that's what the NBA wants right now so you can't knock guys for following suit.

No it isn't.

Lebron is a 35% mid-range shooter.. We know that for a fact because there is 15 years of data on it.. MJ was a 50% mid-range shooter.. We know that for a fact because there is 4 years of data on it.

Just based on that, we know MJ would be much better with no 3-point line..

Of course, we already know how MJ plays without 3-pointers, because he averaged 37 ppg without taking any 3-pointers in 1987.. Then he dropped 63 in the playoffs on the Celtics #1 ranked defense without 3-pointers....

Lebron's stats are much worse WITH 3-pointers... So there's no way he could match MJ's stats without 3-pointers, especially when the stats show that he shoots much worse from mid-range.

It's possible to know how guys would play with no 3-point line because we have stats on how guys shoot on every kind of 2-point shot.

Try and explain to me why you all suck Big Cuz dick? 273 of 1066...with the rest being inside adn this clown shoots . 467%...are you serious? It's actually humorous since Chris Webber was a massively overrated scorer when he was on the Kings because he put up a lot of points because he shot so much too...yet just wasn't that good. I

Nice to see Dirk with 37 up there pretty solid FG% for the amount of shots taken and for still being heavily guarded.

im pretty shocked about LMA and especially Blake Griffin FG%

Spurs with West another important piece for their chip run:applause:

Aldridge by far took the most, with Dirk second with 150 less shots. Understandable thath is FG% isn't that great, I guess.

He hasn't had nearly a good enough team or motivation to win. Now he does. He also gets a shit ton of free throws. His shots to points ratio is elite

Look at DMC's stats before Malone was fired and Rudy, DC and DMC were all healthy at the same time. I expect Demarcus to have MVP like numbers this season.
