i fukkin hate all of these assholes.

just got off the phone with a Verizon sales bitch. dude did not stfu. i told him 5~ times i'm not committing to anything and just want the quote without the sales pitch. he kept sales pitching, kept trying to get me to commit talking about nobody is going to offer the service we do at our price, etc. this mf'er was unbelievable. finally ended where i'm like "dude i told u numerous times i'm not committing, i'm shopping it" and he's like "well you're going to have to go thru call verification and hold again" and then i'm like "so what?"....then he's like "fine, i got 20 people on hold right now so you do that" :facepalm

i hate these corporate asshole sales fgts that always need to yap their game at you where all you're trying to get is the bottom line pricing and service package pricing :facepalm

fukkin Comcast is raping me on Triple Play, they bring me down to a Double Play promo after i said i'm going to shop for other service, then i call back to do it, and they're telling me he wasn't allowed to offer me that because they're not allowed to downgrade people from Triple Play into Double Play promo's. this is AFTER i already made arrangements to port over the phone line  and WTF kind of shit is that where you can't downgrade?

now my only hope is DISH or DirectTV, the only other cable/internet options. these assholes rape you so hard just for turning on switches for reception. okay u laid down wire doesn't mean mf'ers should have to pay $250~/month to make up for it. they get you on having to rent a box for each TV every month which is one of the lamest charges ever~

i really fukkin hate these assholes

thing is i need channel programming live tv. it just isn't the same variety and live broadcasts using the app services. i thought about it, and it is a huge savings but its not how i generally watch TV.

i read they're going to be adding real channels like abc, cbs, nbc, etc.

I think Dish and DirectTV both provide shitty satellite internet.. You don't want that for internet :confusedshrug:

DISH has better pricing on strictly TV though in the long run. I have DISH myself

BTW if you decide to switch to DISH, let me know. We both get $50 credit if I refer you -- that is 1 free month for me :lol

I will never pay for cable, it's the #2 biggest ripoff/scam in the world right now, cellular data being #1.

The only time I wish I had cable was for a few live sporting events that I can't find a good online stream for....that's it. Not worth paying $100 or more per month.

WIFI for the win.

I do have the amazon firestick and it's pretty sweet. I'm getting free ESPN through it too  I downloaded the Watch ESPN app and was never asked for any cable provider info, it just started working and it still works (6 months later)

:pimp:

I used an antenna for awhile when I was living up in the mountains. High speed internet was not an option and from what I read about satellite internet, it wouldn't be worth the trouble.

I bought an antenna for $45 hooked it up and pointed it in the direction of the nearest big town (50 miles away) and I was able to pick up about 7 channels. I wasn't getting the channel that hosted the Winter Olympics so I went up and turned the antenna towards a different town and bang! I could now watch the Olympics!

Comcast is better than all

1. Doesn't go out during thunderstorms

2. Offers digital channels

3. Has on demand

I think you live in a trailer park and those mountains are bigger trailers than yours.

If I lived in a trailer park I would have been using/stealing/sharing a WIFI connection with a fellow white trash American.

FREE? It's built into your subscription. Satellite is such a rip off with their additional boxes fees. At least with Cable I can get away with paying only $2 for each additional outlets via DTA adapters. A few slingbox server and all my family members have cable internet and I can access them anywhere in the world.

Every slingbox is their own. I have separate dedicated boxes for other people. I don't have everyone leeching off one connection, fk that.

Directv no longer has appeal because

1. Redzone Channel

2. They don't have Digital Channels
