While most of the big names are resting for the 2016 qualifiers in August, there are some interesting names on the rosters. The games would be fun to watch.

Canada can take this easily.
Nice to see arguably the best CIS player from the best university basketball program in Canada, Carleton University, Thomas Scrubb in the team as well.

Mike Brown assistant coach.
I thought that was funny too.
I like that US team, lots of scrappier guys and underachievers.
I'd like to see Anthony Bennett and Anthony Randolph go HAM and resurrect their careers.

Scrubb Brothers Phil and Thomas are the integral parts of Carleton Ravens' success in CIS basketball in the past 4-5 years. Ravens has beaten many NCCA Div 1 teams in many recent exhibition games.

To be fair, guys like Bennett or Murray might not show up if Pan Am wasn't in Toronto as well. A part of reasons those guys being in this B-rated event is a political reason.
Still, I heard that if many NBA teams didn't limit how many international event he can be in, Wiggins or CoJo could be in Pan Am roster.
It's a volunteer event at the end.

Team USA literally, LITERALLY had to beg Ryan Hollins to join the team. This wasn't just some shitty USA team they threw together, it was a team so shitty they had to get on their ****ing knees to try to get some older NBA guys on to try and mentor the second rate college players they had to give them a real 'international experience'.
This was beyond an F list of USA players. It was a team so bad that probably any team in the sweet 16 last year could have cleaned their clock. Anthony Bennett actually looked like a star against this team ffs.

its extremely disrespectful by every nation involved to send anything less than atleast a C team out there
if youre gonna send guys who havent played ball in 5 years then dont bother showing up

Well I mean they've played ball, Bobby Brown was our best player by far and he plays overseas somewhere, hasn't played in the NBA since 2010 but he still tore up Canada and probably every other team.
It's the ****ing Pan-Am games who gives a shit. One step up from the Special Olympics, and probably not even that if we're going by how much ESPN covers it.

Potentially Canada can put together a really competitive team for the Olympics
Tristan Thompson/Kelly Olynyk/Andrew Nicholson/Robert Sacre
Anthony Bennett/Trey Lyles/Dwight Powell
Andrew Wiggins/Kyle Witjer/Andy Rautins
Nick Stauskas/Carl English/Brady Heslip
Cory Joseph/Jamal Murray/Tyler Ennis/Steve Nash
honorable mention: Joel Anthony, Olivier Hanlen, Khem Birch, Kevin Pangos
Got a solid mix of current and former NBA players, overseas guys and high level NCAA experienced guys

It's not their best team, but most of them already played together and the offense is so much fluid that every other team in the tournament.
It was "kinda easy" to predict this since the win against the USA in the group stage.
Canada has tremendous talent for the future, that's all that matters

Pathetic part is that Brazil's team minus about 6-8 of their better players (basically what this team was) lost every single game at the last FIBA Americas tournament..........
