They were supposed to be the next great dynasty with their young defense. And then Seattle just took that whole identity from them and buried the 9ers along the way.
Cali is on point from Deigo to the Bay
Minus LA and SF

Not very dominant. SF Giants aren't a "dominant" team.. just had teams that scrapped together players and found a way to win. Warriors had 1 dominant season.
But the 49ers haven't been dominant in a long time and the Sharks choke in the playoffs every year.

I'm a huge SF Giants fan, always have and always will be, and I watched the playoff runs they had. My definition of dominant is just different I guess. I considered their seasons as "magical", not "dominant". Granted, it's tougher to be dominant in baseball than in a sport like basketball, but the Giants went into every series this past season as the underdogs! And started the season 22-1 to win the WS. That is what made it so special imo... they won in those 3 years despite not having the most stacked team.
Warriors, on the other hand, were dominant because 67 reg season wins, large win margin, favorites every series, stacked, nobody was stopping them
