View Full Version : As an NBA fan, who wants to see the Knicks succeed?

Im a Celtics fan for life, outside of the C's, I follow Dallas because Dirk is my fav player outside of Jordan and Bird (everyone has a second team they root for)
But aside from being a fan of a certain player/(90% of this site, stans of certain players)team, as a fan of the league, who would like to see the Knicks suceed???
I mean, they are the hands down BIGGEST franchise the media blows up when successful, diehard fans everywhere, and is considered the 'mecca' of basketball.
I was locked up when Lin was blowing up, but STILL got a chance to hear how Spike Lee was " so happy" in korean prison, so that really speaks volumes as a Knicks franchise as a whole.
I would love to see the Knicks to at least get to the ECF with a sick ass player that scores on high efficiency while winning, just to see the league itself blow the *** up. Thoughts?

They're fans discuss nothing about their own team but talk about LBJ 24/7...
Yes your team is crap but LBJ is to blame?...if the Lakers troll LBJ's at least having 8 'ships in 30 years means they're justified.......y'all were irrelevant before LBJ...y'all irrelevant now...and y'all will be irrelevant long after LBJ's retired.
Honestly Knicks fan trying to troll LBJ...is like a bringing a knife to a gunfight....you guys should troll and argue with fans of Pacers or T'wolves coz that's your level....anything above that..you guys are wayyyy over your heads.
Anyways, enjoy being a lottery bound team for the forseeable future....LOL

That's a terrible reason. Knick fans have been starving for a championship since forever, and are loyal. We don't have fans like Heavincent or dubeta that go from stanwagon to bandwagon, we are dying for a championship here. Excuse a little excitement from some people. Apparently Fresh/Real14 is a little too much for anyone on this board to handle :facepalm

I just want them to fail one more year. After that I don't care what happens.

The truth is, most Knick fans are much more intelligent than these dumbass LeBron and Kobe stans. You have maybe 2 trolls lurking as Knick fans, and a handful of Lin lovers that still hate on the Franchise.
Be prepared for more negativity as NY moves forward with a very smart man calling the shots.

The NBA has been fine for the past half century without the Knicks winning a title, I'm sure we can survive another half century of the drought.

Never. Knicks fans feel they are entitled to everything, are arrogant, and think they are the Mecca of basketball. It's a lot more fun to see them stay losing. Much more entertainment

Every true NBA fan wants to see the Knicks succeed and become relevant once more.
New York is the mecca of basketball and life in general.

I just love how the Mecca sticks in your craw. And even this year's draft picks are calling it that.
Just sit there, quiet - like. And think "Mecca...Mecca... Mecca..." :D

I'd rather see every team one day win a championship... but we don't live in a perfect world.
If New York wants to succed, draft well and get the right guys to build around them through FA and trade. That goes for every team. I can see why people don't want to see the to succeed, not that I care.

I have a dream, that 1 day the Knicks and Clippers will do battle, in the NBA Finals, for a chance at breaking curses and bringing home the starving franchise some well deserved glory. I believe

If LeBron was on the Lakers you wouldn't cheer for them. :lol
You hate LeBron more than you like basketball

I do. I remember when Knicks fans were the most optimistic fans on real gm. Season after season they held out hope for something good to happen all the while making the wackiest trade proposals known to man. I guess all of the fight has been knocked out of them now. I don't see how they can succeed with D Fish as the head coach. Unless they plan on trading the rookie, they got Carmelo stuck in Limbo.
