He has had mutiply serious injuries and it seems he will never be the same athleticism wise. He is a poor shooter in general, should the Bulls look for a new point guard to pair with Jimmy Butler. I think they could of won a title by now if they had an all star calibre point guard that could shoot. Mike Conley would be a great fit.

I think so, last year was their best shot and it fell apart

He's still the second most athletic PG. It exposes his lack of basketball skills.

He's actually fine athletically imo. Not 100% but pretty close. The problems were 1) his retard shot selection, 2) not enough time to build chemistry with new offensive weapons (Butler, Gasol, Mirotic), and 3) Thibs is a terrible offensive coach.
MVP form Rose is gone but I think he'll actually do pretty well under Hoiberg.

They had their chance last season to sign I. Thomas but instead signed Pau. Not saying it was the wrong decision, but that's as good of "insurance" as they could have gotten.

I do think Rose and Butler isn't an ideal fit, but I don't see how the Bulls could do much here. They can't trade Rose and if he's on the roster and healthy...he's gonna play 30 plus minutes a game.
Just not much room for much else at guard.

I don't think you need to replace him...but he definitely needs to understand that he has no business launching up shots the way he was in the playoffs this past season. He averaged 21.7 ppg on 22.5 shots vs the Cavs...he has no business having the green light to chuck like that.

thats odd, because in the 4 games they lost, rose averaged 20 shots, and in the 2 games they won, he averaged 26. and in game 6 where he only took 16 shots, they got blown out by 21 points.

Awful shooter. Awful floor general. Awful court vision.
He's not very good, at all. One of the most overhyped, overblown stars in sports history.

Protecting his percentages on the bench for almost 3 years straight.
He sucks. And he's worthless.

The real answer to this question is a resounding no. Rose has low market value right now and still has MVP upside. You keep him because you're not getting anything as valuable in return.

I think they should wait until they see what the new coaching staff does with the implementation of new offensive schemes. They need to run more plays for Gasol and Butler. That will take a lot of the offensive load off Rose if he is willing to not be the primary scorer.

No team can win with Rose getting consistent minutes/ball usage.
Something about his low IQ, bad decision making, and poor leadership just makes a team crumble when it actually matters in the postseason.
Not to mention he is a ticking time bomb. I'd be shocked if he didn't get another serious injury this year. I'm not wishing it on him by any means, it's just that his body isn't capable of handling the NBA grind.
