Define star? Most of the hate is because lakers fans keep posting about him being amazing despite him not showing that yet

If people are hating a player because of a few bad apple fans, then they seriously need to reevaluate their priorities. It's not a legitimate reason to hate on a player.

If Russell is pulling DUIs on his off-time *cough* Lawson *cough* then it's an entirely different story, but he's a fairly humble kid.

Yup, Greatness is hated....And Russell will be a top 20 Player All-Time when it's all said and done...Honestly might be the top 5 most talented PG coming into next season.

Laker haters stay mad.. People will be once again praising Lakers front office for skipping Towns for Russell..

I can already see Russell shooting lights out from 3 and being a floor general... great court vision for his age and has a really nice shot.. dude is NBA ready already while Towns will suck for the first few years.
