Short excerpt

Otherkin are people who identify as partially or entirely nonhuman. A dragon, a lion, a fox—you name it—there is probably someone out there who feels like they are more these things than they are human. The otherkin community can be found lurking on Reddit, Tumblr, TV Tropes, and other online forums.

:wtf:

Sadly there are peopling coddling these freaks. Instead of giving these people the help they need they are encouraging this behavior.

should people be allowed to identify as non-human?

that would get into incredibly complicated questions of moral responsibility. seems that's the path we're on though. i wonder if we figure it out before shit hits the fan.

People who think they are animals should be treated like them.

There are children who have no human contact in the wilderness who behave like animals.

typically there's a giant "new thread" button in the top left. but you might not be able to because you're such a new poster... might take a few hundred more posts before you're given access. its to prevent troll posters from abusing the site.
